Decided to give this newly opened restaurant a try and it most definitely did not disappoint! Two things you notice the moment you step through the door...the incredible aroma and the cleanliness! The place is spotless! Tables are adorned with beautiful handmade tablecloths made by the owner's mom and there is a glass display of items from Uzbekistan, giving the restaurant an authentic, traditional feel. Food is freshly made to order and every bite is delicious. Lavash is so good that we have already gone back just to get more to bring home! Samsa is packed with flavorful lamb and onion and is simply spectacular. This is made from scratch so be sure to order yours as soon as you are seated. Order it. Trust me. You will thank me later! Uzbek pilaf has delectable tender pieces of lamb with carrots that add such incredible flavor. Salad is super fresh and the Beef Stroganoff is paired with amazing homemade mashed potatoes (just like Grandma's!). The Lyulya Kebab (beef) is full of flavor and comes with 2 sides of your choosing. And last, but definitely not least, the whole duck with baked green apples and a raspberry sauce served on the side! This was truly exceptional and such a special (and super yummy) meal to share with family. The whole duck was presented table side (I was so caught up in the excitement that I forgot to take a picture!!!) then carved and plated for our enjoyment. The flavor and tenderness of the duck was heavenly and everyone loved it. However, this does need to be ordered a few days in advance so be sure to keep that in mind. The owner Tim is kind, personable, and full of recommendations. His focus is serving fresh and flavorsome Uzbek dishes, most based on his mother's recipes, and ensuring that each and every customer has a wonderful (and delicious) experience. This is a great addition to the Myrtle Beach community and I wish them all the best! Please be sure to give Caravan Restaurant a try. You will not be...

If you're looking for an unforgettable dining experience, this Caravan restaurant in Myrtle Beach is an absolute must-visit. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed like family. The cozy, inviting atmosphere, with its beautiful Uzbek decor and warm colors, immediately set the tone for a wonderful evening.
The food was nothing short of spectacular. We started with the Borsch — a vibrant beet soup that was both hearty and refreshing. The deep flavors of the sweet beets, and perfectly balanced seasoning were absolutely comforting. It's the kind of soup that feels like a warm hug.
Next, we tried the Samsa — golden, flaky pastries filled with seasoned minced beef and onions. The pastry was perfectly crisp on the outside, and soft and savory inside. Each bite melted in the mouth, bursting with flavor. I highly recommend ordering a few, as they disappear quickly!
Of course, we couldn’t leave without trying the star of Uzbek cuisine — the Pilaf. It was simply outstanding. The rice was fluffy and aromatic, perfectly infused with spices, while the tender chunks of lamb practically melted in your mouth. The addition of sweet carrots and garlic made the dish beautifully balanced. You can taste the tradition and care in every spoonful — this is the kind of dish you’ll be dreaming about long after your visit.
The service was top-notch — friendly, attentive, and very knowledgeable about the dishes and Uzbek culinary traditions. They happily shared the history behind each dish, making the experience even more special.
If you're in Myrtle Beach and want to try something unique and absolutely delicious, I cannot recommend this place enough. Be sure to order the Borsch, Samsa, and Plov — you won’t regret it. This is true comfort food...
Read moreA true hidden gem! Caravan absolutely blew us away — everything we ordered was delicious. The roasted chicken had incredibly crispy skin and juicy, springy meat. It had clearly been carefully prepared, butterflied before roasting, and came out perfectly golden and fragrant.
The chicken pilaf was another standout — every grain of rice was lightly coated in oil and packed with flavor. My kids couldn’t stop eating it! The chicken pieces were fresh and generous, and the carrots were sweet and crisp.
The lamb kebab had zero gaminess — tender, well-seasoned, and beautifully textured. The pickled onions on the side were a great touch, adding a light acidity that balanced the richness.
The house salad was refreshingly crisp with a tangy vinaigrette, and even the fries were a pleasant surprise — chewy and flavorful, much better than your average fast-food version.
We also tried the manti, dumplings filled with lamb and onion, served with a creamy yogurt sauce. The lamb had a bit of that distinct flavor, but I actually really liked it — it made the dish feel more authentic.
And don’t miss the Napoleon cake — this was the best version I’ve had outside of Eastern Europe. Lightly sweet, flaky and creamy in all the right ways, each bite just melted in the mouth.
The restaurant decor is cozy and full of character — you can really tell the owners put a lot of heart into it.
Heads up: They don’t take tap-to-pay, but regular credit cards are no problem.
Highly recommended — we’ll definitely be...
