Went here for the 1st time ever on Tuesday February 11th 2025 with my parents and some family friends. We were a party of 7 people, and I believe they also made a reservation just in case. When we all arrived, we were sat down promptly by the host. Who was very pleasant btw! We all sat down, and was greeted by Italian decor of statues and beautiful vibes of Italy. After a few minutes, our server came out to greet us. First off, it is very helpful that they asked about separate checks firsthand before taking any orders- especially since i used to be a server, and for the customers, that way one person isn't responsible for an expensive dish. This is exactly what we did, separate checks. After taking care of that, we started with waters. My family of 3 people ordered 3 titos with sprites. i believe someone else ordered wine, maybe 2 wines. Anyways, we were given time to look over the menu. They did have quite the selection of food, from veal, to chicken, to pastas, to fish to salad. We also got free bruchetta, which I don't eat, but for the others they enjoyed that. Finally it got time to order: After the server explained the specials for the day! I decided on the Salmon Ala Vodka, and my dad got the pork special.Believe that entrees come with soup or salad. alot of people got salads, and i got Pasta Figlio soup, which wasn't bad- a little brothy, but the taste was unique and i enjoyed it. Soup and salads came out before the food too. Can't remember what the others got in regards to entrees. We got our food in a timely manner. Kudos to our server for constantly checking on us, as i appreciated that. Everyone including me, enjoyed their food, some eating it all, and some having leftovers in which i had some leftovers. We got boxes accordingly, was offered dessert but declined. Paid our separate check with a credit card, and others paid theirs. left a cash tip, at least we did. Also at some point used the restroom. Be forewarned that it is a single stall, so don't wait until the last minute to use it! luckily there was no line, and was easy to find, and easy in and out, and was also clean. Server did a great job, and it was his first day there too! Would...

Over priced, over rated NOT ITALIAN. This place is the worst restaurant I've been to in Myrtle beach. First of all, waitress (Sam), was great. The rest, the food totally sucked. Starting with the soup, it had no flavor tasted like a dollar tree brand tomatoe soup mixed with chicken broth. Then she brings out two tiny pieces of bread, harder than croutons with some kind of salsa on it that also had bland taste. I couldn't eat this hard bread, afraid I might break a tooth. Then come what they called a salad. Finely shredded tiny pieces of some kind of kale lettuce with a few black olives and 1(ONE) TOMATOE SMALLER THAN AN M&M CHOCOLATE PEANUT. THE DRESSING WAS SUPPOSED TO BE ITALIAN but was to me, olive oil and parsley. Again, absolutely no flavor. Along comes 4 bread rolls, plain, not like garlic rolls you get from Olive Garden, plain old frozen microwaveable bread rolls and butter. Probably the main star of the entire meal. My wife had shrimp Alfredo that looked and tasted like a bowl of shrimp and milk cereal.( we've never had Alfredo sauce so thin you had to slurp it like milk and eat it with a soup spoon. The shrimp was tough and rubbery. My plate was spaghetti and some sort of imitation meat balls that were dry and bland, the spaghetti was way overcooked like it sat in a pot of water all day. The sauce tasted like it came out of a chef boy r d can from dollar general and not enough to saturate the noodles like most people like the pasta. In closing, I will never waste my money on a supposedly authentic place like this, especially this place. Beware!!! My choice is OLIVE GARDEN 50 TIMES BETTER THAN THIS PLACE. TRUST ME, DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. You...

Not many places in this area worthwhile...until this location came up on our radar. Can't recommend this diamond in the rough enough!

This place is the real deal...Roma-Italian through and through. Homemade rolls, pastas and gnocchi (we are TOTAL gnocchi snobs). Options included veal, seafood, chicken, brasciole, osso bucco, etc... some unique (as well as some typical) dishes that weren't over handled, over seasoned, nor overserved (meaning not too much food...the portions are appropriate). We reserved for the next day before we even left. One dish was better than the next. For example, tender meatballs made with Nana's homemade sauce recipe, dinners straight from Nana's kitchen, then rounded off with espresso, cannolis, tiramisu, lemoncello cake, etc...🤤🤤🤤....

Tim was our server...love, love, LOVED him! His informative, experienced, friendliness (yet professional), recommendations-from-personal-experience was refreshing to say the least. This staff never once took a break...these folks never stop! Yet, you were never made to feel rushed.

And let's not forget the functional water fountain and talented accordian player walking around to add to the ambiance!

Dinner for two, wines, appetizer, bruschetta, homemade HOT rolls, soup, salad (homemade italian dressing), dinners, desserts, espresso/tea...under $120 (without tip.) (Nix the wines and you're looking at around $85 in total!)

Would LOVE to have this restaurant near our home!

Heads up: Reservations are highly recommended! (They also crank the AC.🥶😜)

DEFINITELY give this place a try. If we come back to town...we...

We visited Villa Romana on 11/26/22 for our first time. We have heard from others how great the food is. Instead of sticking to our usual locations to dine in the Myrtle Beach area, we decided to finally give them a try. I have read the other reviews, but honestly, I don't get it. The atmosphere and service is great, but in our opinion, the food was not as satisfying as the restaurant inside view. We ordered the orange chicken and linguini with clam white wine sauce. First, the soup had an after taste like it was from a can... I am guessing Campbell's. The salad was small, but had way too much spinach greens. My wife's chicken was yummy, but she ordered penne instead linguini noodles that were way over salted. My linguini and clams were the biggest disappointment; it was swimming in sauce that was mainly buttery. The texture was great, but way too much sauce that I grew tired of quickly. The best part of the meal to me were the rolls with the marinara sauce. I have to say that I have had better meals at Olive Garden. I don't see or understand the excitement or love for the food here. Maybe they were having a bad night, I am not sure, I just know I don't plan on returning. A big thanks to Rob our waiter who did a great job and to the guy playing the tunes on the squeeze box.
