This use to be the BEST spot in MB to eat. We drive 3.5 hours JUST to eat the Philly Sub from here. We traveled in for Thanksgiving. Called and asked hours. The OWNER told us he would be open for us from 12pm-5pm on Thanksgiving Day. We arrived at 3pm and they were CLOSED!! Employees were still in the building so we called and they stated the manager just changed his mind and closed. We stated our situation with driving down just for Philly’s for Thanksgiving and being in the parking lot. THE EMPLOYEE HUNG UP ON ME AND THEN SENT ALL CALLS TO A FULL VOICEMAIL. I do not care how good the food is, customer service will always matter. You just lost a customer that drives HOURS and has FOR YEARS. We highly recommended this place to everyone we knew that traveled to MB, now I cannot wait to tell them how you treat your MOST LOYAL customers. We will NEVER eat here again. PS - the frozen steak change I was upset with anyway! This just topped the cake! I can’t wait to try other local Philly Cheesesteak places with high ratings. The management/ownership obviously changed here. The even charge you for hot sauce for your sandwich now! Too many good restaurants around to waste time here. Oh and never order online - they don’t check the screen. The last online order, I arrived and they had not even started due to not seeing it!! That was a 45 minute wait, with a waiting area FULL, during Covid, with no restrictions on numbers except a mask. No refunds, we HAD to wait on the paid for online order. Read moreI ordered through the Uber Eats app. I ordered 2 Philly cheesesteaks but they only sent 1. When I called the restaurant, they said they couldn't do anything to make it right, unless I was willing to drive to their restaurant. I asked the manager who was responsible for making sure delivery orders are accurate before the driver picks them up. He said he was. He said that sometimes the Uber driver will eat the food. Unbelievable experience, and not in a good way.
Edit: The manager continues to blame the order mix up on the Uber driver. He claims that the driver had 2 Uber orders at the same time and that the driver switched the orders. I ordered 2 phillys, a salad, and chicken fingers. If the orders were switched that would mean that the other customer ordered 1 philly, a salad, and chicken fingers. The exact same order but with one sandwich instead of 2, which is not very likely, and it was the same driver who picked up and delivered the similar orders at the exact same time. What is more likely is that the manager did not verify the order for accuracy before sending it out. Please stop trying to blame others for your mix up.
I did contact Uber about the issue and they are able issue a refund on the 1 item within the next few days. My issue is that I did not get what I ordered and the lunch was ruined. 4 people cannot share 1 sandwich and nothing was done by the restaurant to...
Read moreI'm here for vacation we drove 3 1/2 hours and we was hungry and tired. We looked through the coupon book and found this place. Even though some of the reviews was bad, we love cheese steaks so we decided to give them a try. 1st the man taking the order is rude. He like to rush your order so he does not listen to what you say. I ordered a 8inch Philly Cheese Steak, no mayo, no mushrooms and very light onions. I didn't see him put it on the screen, so I asked him did he hear me say no onions? He said yes. Well we took our order to go because we was tired. We got here and my Philly had mayo on it along, drowned in mayo, and it had so many onions and little bit of meat. On previous reviews people complained about the Customer Service and the man running the register, should be at the back of the house. He did not great 1 customer, he spoke very fast and does not display good listening skills. I hope he is not the owner. Needless to say the food was nasty, nothing like the pictures and we want ever go back or recommend anyone ever to go here. My food probably could have been edible if they would have gotten my order write. What if a had a food allergy to Mayo, that would have been a lawsuit. So you don't know what people are allergic to and why they don't want certain items on their food so be more careful. Service...
