My family was not impressed with the food here. The service was good, not great, but certainly acceptable.

We ordered fairly simple items: tacos, tamales, enchiladas....the salsa was good but the queso was so bland you almost couldn't taste it.

The tacos weren't even grocery store quality. Bland meat and maybe a tablespoon of it per shell. Hardly anything else on them and the shells look and taste like the one's from Kroger. Better tacos at the fast food place.

The enchiladas were flat, cold and covered in chili gravy obviously from a mix, bland and starchy.

The kids plates came with a dry tamale/enchilada and a small amount of rice which was supposed to be a double helping instead of beans. We had to ask for some queso to put on them. The kids ate it but not happily and only because their ice cream depended on it. Ice cream machine was a consolation.

We were approached by the manager and were honest with him about our thoughts and he acknowledged that the recipes were very different from the previous owners. His speech seemed practiced like he's maybe given it before.

This meal was something that my 9 year old daughter could have made better at home. We spent $45 on a meal she could have made for $15 and never had to leave our house. We go out to eat food we can't readily fix at home....something special. This was not special. ...

The chips and salsa were served warm. Their appearance was not the best, but both were actually quite good! My husband got a fish and shrimp plate, which came with fries and hush puppies. He said the fish was terrible-so bad he took 2 bites and couldn't eat it. And that's pretty bad, because he will eat almost anything! He said the shrimp was pretty good. The fries and hush puppies were very greasy. I got an enchilada plate, served with a crunchy taco, rice and refried beans. The food was ok, but it was barely warm. The service was also not great, considering we were there at an off time and only 3 tables were occupied. It was a little pricey, it was around $30 for 2 adult meals, we both drank water and didn't have any appetizer or dessert. I don't think we will go back anytime soon. It wasn't repulsive, but there are too many other choices of restaurants in...

The menu is pretty creative but the execution is very poorly done. The sauces are the only things they serve with any flavor. The salsa, guacamole, sauces on the entrees are delish. Everything else is way too bland. The queso tasted like melted velveeta with too much milk. The crab cake stuffed shrimp weren't stuffed - it was a shrimp with a heap of crab cake mix resting on top. It was dry and powdery and lacked seasoning. The Shrimp Yucatan had a good sauce on it. But it was very peppery. The chicken inside was dull and flavorless and the shrimp tails were covered in breading making it hard to eat without getting tail shells in your mouth. My kid loved the corndog, but he's 5. Lackluster food. Wait staff was nice, atmosphere is your standard Mexican restaurant being overly loud and a little garish. If you can't stomach flavor and heat, you will...

Our portions were huge. The wait staff was so sweet, attentive and fast. The typical "Texan creamy" green sauce was fantastic! The Queso didn't wow me, and could use a bit more flavor. But, the entrees made up for it. My Mom ordered the taco salad. Oh, man. We got "light lettuce" (don't judge) and added queso on it and my Lord, yum! And HUGE. My husband ordered the tamales. It came with charro beans and he specifically said he would come back solely for them. Best beans he's had ever! (And he's a army vet that's travelled a lot.) I had a fajita/enchilada combo. As good as it was I couldn't finish my plate. Not because it was awful, but because I got so full on the street corn. Ahh! Mexican food is my go to for gluten free meals. I will be back!

For the 1st time ever. I didn't like my food. I ordered a salad, and my ate was full of water from the beans and corn, the waiter said the water may of came from the lettuce but I showed him it wasn't from the lettuce and that I wasn't happy and would be the last time to order it if I ever came back. The salad was suppose to have lettuce, corn, black beans, chicken, Avocado, and a spicy dressing. What I got was very little lettuce, chicken, and Avocado but a whole lot of corn and beans with water. I ate very little couldn't handle it. They took 1/2 the price of the salad. Everything else was good. Service was great.

The service here is wonderful. The staff is very friendly and hospitable. Our waitress checked on us often, the manager checked on us to ensure we were doing okay, and someone was at the door to greet us and open it for us on our way in and out. That being said, the food was sub par. The queso was pretty highly priced for just some melted velveeta. The beans were bland, and the rice was a little dry. The drinks were my biggest letdown. My margarita had no taste of tequila or mix. It was slightly green water. Without the great service, 2 stars.
