Pizzazz Pizza of Nags Head — Restaurant in Nags Head

Was a little iffy coming here based on reviews but this placed exceeded all expectations. We ordered a large half cheese half pepperoni, garlic cheese breadsticks and a dozen buffalo wing plus drinks. We sat in one of the booths with a family of 5, 2 adults and 3 kids to eat in. All for like 50 bucks! There’s no table service but you can get your food and eat there or take out, they do have plates and silverware. The young man running the front was very friendly! The food was ready rapidly and everything was hot and fresh. I do not know where people got that it was frozen and reheated. This was absolutely great pizza and wings! Well done! I didn’t get a chance to take pictures before we dug in but it was really good. This pizzeria used to be good at lunch time because of their economical lunch buffet. But the prices have escalated for individual pizzas ordered to take out. My husband and I stopped in for a small “12 inch” pizza today. The small pizza with two toppings costs $15.49. The fountain beverages are $2.99 each. The flavor has declined, and the crust is not thoroughly cooked. My husband likes the gummy crust, but I am repelled by it. The floor was slippery from an apparent recent spill that required the mop. The trash cans were overflowing, so disposing of trash was a challenge. The young people waiting the counter were friendly and responsive to our request for napkins. We try to order from there! Well we call to place the order.. The gentleman on the phone couldnt get what we were ordering straight. Which was 2 Family meals, 25.00 each, a salad 7.00 dollars, garlic bread, 7.00 dollars and extra order wings 15.00.. well he told us our total was 117.00.. so aask to speak to a manager, Manager gets on, very rude on phone when trying to explain to him, and what does the Manger do he HANGS UP THE PHONE ON ME..THE CLENCHER TO IT ALL THEY STILL DELIVERED THE ORDER. Really, sorry to say we did not take order, he took it back and now the total was 127.00.. Now why would you deliver after hanging up on someone..
