strong 4.5 stars here. one day visit from the mainland and chose to lunch here ahead of the many, many choices in town to eat. do not regret it one bit. just down the pier from the ferry terminal. counter person was really patient and helpful. they were out of a number of things. all breads made in-house along with many pastries. two sandwich choices today were a caprese sandwich -fresh mozzarella, tomato, basil walnut pesto, along with olive oil and balsamic vinegar on house-made focaccia and their sicilain tuna which is a unique sandwich made with-i think-olive oil instead of mayo. included dill, capers, lemon and pickles with arugula on delicious herb bread. i was leery of this as i make a mean tuna salad myself. but it was a revelation. so fresh and light compared to a traditional mayo based sandwich. my wife loved it also and i'll look for one like this in the future. the caprese was also outstanding. the bread is undoubtedly a perfect version of this type. light but firm and held the sandwich wonderfully. the ingredients were marvelous. mozzarella and tomatoes so flavorful and just the right amount of dressings. for some sweets after we chose two mini chocolate croissants and a slice of great looking banana bread for breakfast the next morning. the chocolate pastries were very well made if a bit shy on sweetness. the banana bread will stay in my mind for a long time. even the next morning it was still moist and flavorful but when i chose to warm it bit in the microwave it just blossomed and tasted fresh made with wonderful banana flavor. really wished i had bought more than one. it's doubtful in my opinion you can find a better sandwich in the area, maybe not even a...

I've patroned the restaurant for many years and the owners and staff go above and beyond to provide a warm, welcoming environment that is consistent in both quality and quantity. While their classic Turkey Terrific and Caprese are praised far and wide, my favorite order is their Italian sandwich, no onion, extra hot pepper relish. Their Turkey Club takes a very close 2nd! Their Congo Bars and Cream Cheese Brownies are so rich a delectable, I often have it in two servings or split with a friend. And they cater! Run don't walk to this spot. Like most busy island restaurants, there may be a little wait on a busy Summer day, but worth...
Read moreThe sandwiches were not bad (nothing to write home about either) but the salad was simply ridiculous- comically bad. They call it a Kale Caesar, but it had not a single leaf of Kale in it and 1/2 the salad was croutons and tasteless industrial yellow powder- presumably parmesan. The dressing had the texture and taste of mayonnaise and there was almost more of that than actual salad which was a tiny portion that could fit in the palm of my hand. How they have the nerve to charge approx15$ for that is beyond me... Lesson learned. Best to give...
