Just recently went back to KFC after about 3 yrs of buying my chicken from El Pollo Loco. My 3 yrs doing business at EPL has been one disappointment after another (see my review of EPL). My 1st order back at KFC was a 9 pc leg & thigh, with two sides of potatoes and gravy, & four biscuits. Surprisingly, the chicken was far less greasy (better) than 3 yrs ago. the potatoes were bland (no change), gravy was good (no change) & my biscuits were already hard as rock (no change) after my 10 minute drive home. My total cost was approx $24, with a discount coupon, for the 9 piece chicken dinner (approx feeds 3 people). Read moreI decided to get a Famous Bowl at KFC instead of grocery shopping and making a home cooked meal. It was a terrible idea because I ate several bites of it before I discovered this clump of hair inside the gravy and potatoes.
I have worked in the food industry and it isn’t difficult to follow rules like maintaining a clean food station, consistently sanitizing, and keeping your biological matter out of your customer’s meal. This showcases the lack of sanitation practices at Socol Napa’s KFC which is concerning when we are still struggling to overcome a pandemic.
