This whole dinner experience was not great. We were seated quickly, which was nice, but it was not very busy. We ordered food and it came fairly quickly. But it was served without any serving utensils (like fried rice). Then the crepe was cut in half when we had a party of three. The server Carlo(s?) was not very attentive - I think he checked in once. The food was mediocre at best; definitely not worth the price. The crepe smelled like fish despite there not being any fish in it; not an enjoyable aroma. The manager never came over. In fact all he did was loiter around the host stand. Oh and the bathroom wasn’t clean - the urinal had 2-3 feet of liquid (pee?) on the floor in front of it. The manager came into the bathroom directly behind me to check it (?) but didn’t clean it up. The manager tried to stop us as we were leaving. How odd for a not busy night. In my opinion, this place doesn’t live up to the hype nor does it live up to the cost.
I need to update this. The manager came over literally as we were putting out coats on (not sure why he waited that long). We explained what happened and all he did was tell us that hopefully it’ll be better “next time”… Like, hello! There isn’t going to be a next time! Why would we come back and spend all this money on what’s likely to be another terrible experience?! Totally clueless and just cemented the idea that we never want to go back there and won’t recommend it to anyone - locals or visitors.
I’d like to add that they replied very quickly to this review asking for me to contact them, but I did and have not heard a peep back. Seems like it’s all for show and they don’t actually care. Again, another...
Read moreAs a local I have tried to support this restaurant since its opening. My family and I frequent this location, we treat family and friends here as well. When we can’t make it in person we order it though DoorDash so, obviously fans of this establishment. However, the last couple of visits have given us. pause, especially tonight. We made a reservation and put in notes that we had a small child with us and requested a booth. We arrived early by 10 minutes totally expecting to wait till our reservation time. When our reservation time came I asked how much longer it would be and was met with two unprofessional greeters that angrily said it would be at least 30 more minutes. Honestly, what the point of the reservation and if you are falling behind; have the decency to call us so that we can come later. You don’t have an area to even wait for a table. What did it for me was the contemptuous tone that the two greeters had as the wish me and my family a happy new year. We ate at a restaurant and it was fabulous. I suggest better training of your staff as you will lose patrons with...
Read moreMorimoto Asia in Napa is on the corner of Main Street. It has outdoor seating overlooking the bridge and the river. The ambience doesn’t have the elegance as Morimoto Asia in Disney Springs but just enough to not make it look like a cafeteria. I will say that the entrance and the terra-cotta Warriors standing out front is pretty cool unfortunately the host staff didn’t come off very friendly. this is basically dim sum and it’s great and so is the chow fun and ramen. It’s top quality and you’ll pay the price for it unlike Morimoto Napa, you can find dim sum for a lot cheaper and for quality that is just as good if not better. Overall, it was a great dining experience but the ambience and decor just lacks the energy and vibe and combine that with mediocre service and the high price for dim sum..It wouldn’t be my first choice to get bao, chowfun or ramen. I will say that the bone marrow in the Ramen is something my wife would absolutely come back here for Definitely give this...
