The food here is amazing, there is no doubt about that. The Chilean Sea bass wash fresh tasting and was perfectly blanced with the sweet corn and asparagus sauce. The lobster roll is to die for. Sweet lobster, green onions, lightly mixed with an aioli matched perfectly, especially when served on the house made bread that is yeasty and sweet. The crab cakes were perfect, nearly all meat.
That being said, we went on a Saturday night, so I will gladly edit my review if a return visit ends in better results. The rooms was packed, I don't mean just full to capacity, I mean elbow to elbow. The space between tables is so minimal that staff walk sideways between tables. This would make it impossible for wheelchair users and children to be able to enjoy this place. The customers, being so close to one-another, had to speak over the tables around them, eventually making it so loud inside that is was painful. I cannot fully express the discomfort of the noise inside, it was terrible; again, this is a result of tables crammed together. The staff seem very well trained, but the simple fact that they squeezed SO many customers in made the service watered down. The appetizer arrived after a 20 minute wait. The meal 35 minute after that, the dessert another 20 minutes after. It seemed like we were waiting forever since you cannot communicate with the others in your party. Because the service is so watered down it seems hardly better than a location like Dennys. The wait staff try to communicate, but they do it hinged to take off and check on the next table, so all imtimate service is gone. Which again is a shame because they seem well trained.
I believe what has happened is that the management thought it was a good idea to shove more tables in, thinking it wouldn't affect anything. Well it has, very badly. I can not recommend The Waterfront Seafood Grill because although delicious, it's an uncomfortable experience. There needs to be a reduction of tables inside. This is all made worse by the simple fact that The Waterfront Seafood Grill is surrounded by other high end establishments that have proper spacing allowing for the type of intimate service that is EXPECTED for meals that average $60-$100 per person, especially when the establishments near by are even often slightly cheaper. This is unacceptable...
Read moreWe went with high expectations as we have heard rave reviews from friends and family. Our experience however was not up to the standers of what it cost to eat there. We started with some cocktails. The Strawberry lemonade was just bad. We asked to have it remade and the bartender personally came to the table and explained he used less triple sec and more cranberry juice. For one the ingredients on the menu do not even list those ingredients. He explained why he used them but to me that makes no sense. If your going to list ingredients list them all. We then ordered appetizers. We ordered the calamari and shrimp cocktail. Calamari was excellent but the shrimp cocktail was not. The sauce was uneven in flavor. In the beginning it was OK but as you got to the bottom it was extremely bitter and overpowering. I ordered the lobster bisque which had great flavor but was on the thin side. We also order the clam chowder. It was good but they brought the oyster crackers out in a plastic bag on a saucer. That is something I would expect to see at a Red Lobster not at this restaurant. I had the swordfish and was happy when I took my first bite. It was very good. Light and flacky cooked to perfection. We also had 2 seafood platter and a steak. Those also were very good. I had heard great things about their noodles so we ordered some. They were not good at all. Lacked any flavor and was as if the lid came off the pepper shaker as it was mostly red pepper flakes. I could not taste anything else thru the heat. My friends had dessert and said it was just ok. All in all for the price it is not...

The restaurant's location right on the water made for a stunning backdrop, creating a serene and picturesque setting that elevated the entire evening. The views alone are worth the visit!
The service was top-tier from start to finish. Our server not only provided excellent attention but also had an impressive knowledge of wines. He guided us to the perfect pairing for our meals, making the dining experience even more special.
The ambiance was just right, with perfect lighting that added to the relaxed yet elegant atmosphere. The food? Absolutely fantastic! The menu is full of delicious options, and honestly, you can't go wrong with any choice. Yes, it is a bit on the pricey side, but that's to be expected in Napa Valley, and the quality you receive makes it well worth it.
Overall, it was a flawless dining experience. We highly recommend The Waterfront Seafood Grill and will definitely be returning on our next Napa Valley trip. If you're looking for an unforgettable evening with great views, service, and food, this is the...
