First time visiting Andre's Steakhouse. Firstly Andre himself called me to confirm my reservation which was very nice. Never too big to do the little jobs! This I loved. Honest Unbiased Review follows; The restaurant could use some updating, repairs, modernization of the outside & inside of the restaurant! The menu could use a few touches to update & modernize, whilst keeping the classic dishes & classic feel of the menu, the character! Some additions like Dry Aged Steaks would be great, a gratinee potato or twice bakes wouldn't be out of place here! The people would love it. When you operate a steakhouse, Steaks are the focus & should always be... Competitive prices to the most modern steakhouses in town. Restaurant is full of character. Food served family style & the servers are professional & experienced. No children serving or dropping your food at your table, these servers are career servers with experience! Attentive But Not annoying, fast but not too fast, they give you time to chat with your company! The service & feel is better than the food. That's not saying the food is not good. It was very fresh, very flavorful, no need for salt on the sides or salads! The Steaks may be unseasoned I am unsure! You can taste the Steak! They have a real char broiler new york old school char broiler that pulls out, i assume, I am just guessing! The Steaks come out sizzling & hot. Not souvide, not pompace, not pretentious! Your new neighborhood steakhouse where everyone will know your name if you visit weekly! Been in business forever obviously for a reason! Andre's Steakhouse... is what it is and not what it's not... I am a Local Chef & I appreciate the little things! I will visit again. You should try it too. Over 600,000 people served tells the story! People visit for years & will come back again and again. If I'm being picky, I'd change alot of things but then it wouldn't be Andre's Steakhouse it'd be Chef Nicholas' Steakhouse and I don't own a restaurant, so what do I know really : ) Thank you for the good meal in a...
Read moreGo Somewhere Else! My husband and I love food. We dont really care about ambiance as long as the food is good, we're happy. We planned this date night and REALLY wanted to just experience great food. We ordered wine, the Porterhouse for two, fried German potatoes for 2 and creamed spinach. The Porterhouse temperature was cooked as requested but seriously lacked flavor. The German potatoes are not fresh or fried, they are literally tiny cubes of frozen bagged potatoes that tasted like they were reheated (lukewarm), chalky and freezer burnt. The creamed spinach was watery and bland. We were at the table looking dumbfounded at eachother as we were trying understand what we had been served and looking for any positives we could fabricate to get through the rest of dinner. For an establishment like this to serve food at this low level and with no apparent pride in their cooking or quality is unacceptable. Steak Rating: 3 out of 5 Sides: 1 out of...
Read moreWe had not been here for many years, but I remembered the steak used to be good. So we decided to try it again for a change of pace. What a disappointment!! I noticed from reviews that the manager/owner did not require masks for his/her employees in May 2020. Surely we thought they would adhere to CDC guidelines and do so now! The hostage claimed that given they are in the city of Naples don’t need to comply with that! For real!? that’s news to me. The restaurant was almost deserted, so we felt safe enough to stick with our reservation. We should have just left, because the steak porterhouse to share for 3 ,was mediocre at best. The sides or salad are a joke. Iceberg salad, creamed spinach and fried potatoes. (Potatoes are what you would expect at cheap breakfast joint). These people are stuck in the 80’s when this used to be the common fare. The waiter was surprised we did not care to take any leftover steak home. Please do not go...
