We made reservations two days prior, driving down from Tampa meeting my parents who are coming from Miami, to celebrate my father’s 80th birthday. The atmosphere is good, it was eastern Sunday, so it was pretty packed. However, the waiter was pretty much out of it and completely ruined what would had been an enjoyable experience. I hate giving such a bad review but it was just unacceptable. When he took the order we ordered a plate for my mom, a different one for my wife and my dad and I ordered the same dish. The food was served by another staff, my dad, mom and wife got their dishes but nothing came to me which I assumed the waiter was going back to get it. After a while when my family were already half way done with their meals my wife asked where was the food I ordered, the waiter hadn't come back to check on us, my wife had to stand to finally get the waiters attention who then dumbfounded told us he assumed my father and I were “sharing” the grilled swordfish we ordered (as a note there were no other small plates served as if to share, and he didn't bother to double check the order). How he could possibly assumed that without verifying its beyond me. Not in a restaurant of this class. By the time it came my family were all done, and on top of that when ordering we asked him if the lobster pasta is spicy which he said it wasn't. My mom cant eat spicy food and so she had to swift the dishes with my wife who ordered something different. On top of all that we had to call him several times for drinks. It was just awful service, it was upsetting and like I said it ruined the experience. For an establishment of this category and price it is just...

Went to Naples on a 1-day escape with family and friends. Did a quick Google search and this place popped up for lunch. A little difficult to find since its attached to a marina and hotel, but no issues. Parking is free & easy and close by.

Took a few minutes to be seated, but the scenery is very nice and the fresh air from the marina is spectacular. Our waiter in-training was very nice and professional. His colleague who was training him was a little rough around the edges and her strict demeanor was a little annoying.

We order the Fried Calamari (very good) and Coconut Shrimp (fair) for appetizers, but the shrimp were small and soggy since they were placed on top of the sauce. Note: Put the sauce on the side, these shrimp should be crispy!

We then had Clam Chowder (very good) and Lobster Bisque (BAD). The worst lobster bisque I have ever had... it was like Campbells tomato soup with a few crumbles of lobster meat. I really should have sent this back!

We then had snapper, grouper and lobster roll, all were very good and decent portions.

I will say that I was expecting better quality food after a $300.00 meal! I am not sure why this place has such great reviews? Might be the scenery, but there are so many places in downtown Naples to choose from at the same price point with much better...

There are a few places on this earth where I would say they have mastered something to such an extent that it is just perfection. It takes a rare combination of the atmosphere and the service but most important, it centers on a very special item on the menu. On my list are the following: The Linguini De' Vongole at La Scogliera in Positano Italy, a glass neat of Dair Ghaelach whiskey at the Midleton distillery in Cork Ireland, the Bone in Dry Aged Ribeye upstairs at Abe and Louie's in Boston, the Bloody Mary at Fish Camp on Broad Creek in Hilton Head, my wife's braised beef short ribs at our home on Christmas Eve, and yes, the Blackened Grouper sandwich at The Dock at Crayon Cove in Naples. Order this sandwich... look out on the bay from an open air masterpiece with friendly staff and paddling contest trophies adorning the ceiling beams. Bite into the perfectly cooked blackened grouper with gobs of fresh house tartar sauce and a soft brioche bun. Gulp some of your beer add some dock fries, mash together and let it all disintegrate in your mouth on the way to your belly. Do this and die happy.. it's that good.

Review for The Dock at Crayton Cove The atmosphere at The Dock at Crayton Cove is great, and the outside seating is covered, which makes for a comfortable dining experience. However, the food was incredibly bland and disappointing. I ordered the grilled salmon with rice and beans, and it lacked even the most basic seasoning—there wasn’t even salt to bring out any flavor. The Brussels sprouts, which were supposed to be crispy and packed with flavor from honey, bacon, and goat cheese, instead seemed boiled and overly saturated. My wife had the tacos, but they were just as underwhelming—completely bland, and the shells were oddly hard despite being advertised as soft. The coconut shrimp had some flavor, but ironically, no coconut taste at all. To make things worse, it was served with melons and cantaloupe instead of a dipping sauce—an odd and unappealing combination. Honestly, they might as well remove “coconut” from the name. Overall, we left hungry and unimpressed. With so many great dining options in the area, this isn’t a place I’d recommend.
