Having dined at many Naples restaurants there are plenty of great options. Syren stands out as a fantastic new addition and one of the few I left thinking, "yeah, I'd really like to come back here again." -- The ambiance is fantastic, the design is really cohesive and open, well put together, clean and appealing (save the airport glide path right above). Sitting outside was nice, they had heaters working the night we were sitting outside and it was comfortable, with an open-air bar the restaurant, which made it feel that much more cohesive. -- The food was fantastic. Oysters were perfect, really well done and delicious. We had the Taco small plate option, which was really nice. We also had the soft-shell crab, which I would skip next time. For the main course we had the Butterfish, as many had in other reviews we read, and with good reason. Fantastic. Very reminiscent of the Butterfish Roy's had back in the day, but a step up. For desert we had the soft serve which was great with toasted marshmellow, a salted caramel sauce and blackberries. -- The drinks were GREAT. Do the Espresso drink if you like coffee, it is REALLY something, and one I'll remember for a long time to come. --- Lastly, something that is often overlooked but that I appreciated was portion size. The portions were really nicely sized where I wasn't full over underfed, it was just right. Plan to spend $100 per person, easy, but it is worth it for this type of experience and food in a less stuffy atmosphere in Naples. --- Lastly, Valet only. Be prepared. Look forward to...
Read moreHad dinner there last night and thought the food was good and it is a very cute spot on the water however, everything else that happened after that was a downer and ruined our date night. It started with the person that brought our food and spilled our wine all over my limited edition Dior handbag, and my Dior scarf. I was visibly upset as it leaked inside the bag as well, and the manager came over and looked dumbfounded, as if he is so surprised why I am upset by that. I couldn’t even speak when he asked what he can do to make it better. Instead of offering to comp somewhere of food or wine he just shrugged it off and walked away by saying OK just let me know It continued with Lack of attention to all kinds of details. We ordered the siren sample platter, which included crab and oysters. They failed to bring the tools for cracking the crab and the little forks and napkins to clean your hands after touching the seafood. The platter also contained a fish dip, they didn’t bring the crackers for the fish dip or anything to put the fish dip on until I questioned it to which they replied, the food runner forgot. Apparently it must be the same food that spilled the wine all over my handbag and forgot to tools for the crab . The cloth napkin that they wrapped the silverware and had Sriracha stains on it. overall a disappointing and sad experience despite the taste of food, the...
