By far the WORST experience of my LIFE! Reserved this restaurant for my daughters 10th birthday and thought how perfect considering it fell on the same day as the boat parade, HUGE MISTAKE! First was they called me to confirm my reservation for 5 at 1 pm and had my name wrong (first and last) the guy fixed it, confirmed and I assumed we were all set. Nope - 2 hrs later another call confirming reservations, again same wrong name yet the same guy. 5 pm comes and we are there checking in - they had our table ready but it was right next to both outside doors that servers and guests kept flying in/out of. All the food was terrible - I couldn’t believe even the kids hot dog and fruit!! We aren’t too picky so we didn’t complain - minus my well done steak that was brought back 3 times and bloody every time! So the biggest issue by FAR - I am assuming was the hostess (there’s no way such an arrogant, rude, nasty woman could be a manager) my kids couldn’t see the boats so they walked down close by the water - this woman came and yelled at my kids saying this is reserved space only you can’t stand here - yet there was 7 other people standing right by my kids. Ok - then she persisted on getting in my face - I told her I have had these reservations for over a month it’s my daughters birthday and where could they go to see the parade? She said it wasn’t her problem - she couldn’t accommodate everyone and that if I would stop arguing with her she could address the other people standing in the “reserved area” mind you I am pregnant, carrying my 9 month old and she was so close in my face yelling that I could feel the heat of her breath!!!! Then walked by me 5 times giving me looks of disgust - my bill was over $150 - and I still left the server a $30 tip (though he wasn’t great- it was overly obvious that the staff is serverly over worked) I have lived in Naples my entire life and I NEVER write bad reviews - I was so disturbed by the treatment and quality of food that I will tell EVERYONE to not dare go here!!! Can only write a review by giving 1 star - this was not even 1 star service! I can’t believe they are on business still to have such rude absolutely downright evil people working there.

Broiled Seafood Platter at Boathouse on Naples Bay Nestled along the serene waters of Naples Bay, Boathouse offers more than just picturesque views—it delivers a culinary experience that will linger on your palate long after the last bite. The Broiled Seafood Platter (GF) is nothing short of a seafood lover’s dream. The dish is a perfectly curated medley of ocean treasures. From the tender lobster tail to the meaty snow crab (your choice between the two is a delightful dilemma), every element is impeccably broiled to preserve the delicate, natural flavors. The shrimp are succulent and juicy, while the clams and mussels bring a briny freshness that ties the dish to its waterfront setting. The scallops are buttery-soft, practically melting in your mouth, and the filet of fish is flaky, moist, and expertly seasoned. All of this is elevated by the tangy lemon butter sauce—a perfect balance of richness and zest that ties the platter together without overpowering the seafood’s natural flavors. It’s the kind of sauce that makes you reach for another bite—and then another. Couple this phenomenal dish with Boathouse’s impeccable service and the breathtaking views of boats gliding by on the bay, and you have a meal that feels as luxurious as it is comforting. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply treating yourself, the Broiled Seafood Platter at Boathouse on Naples Bay is an unforgettable experience worth savoring.

We were in Naples visiting the Great Wolf Lodge and wanted a great spot for dinner and found The Boathouse on Google and decided to check it out. So glad we did. The location is beautiful, right on the water, super laid-back, and the staff was incredibly friendly. Our server, Margarita, was amazing and gave us great recommendations and really made the experience special. We sat outside, and the whole meal was a 10/10. To start, the warm rolls with butter were perfect. We split a half order of the New England clams and the Milano mussels… both were exceptional. The sauce was so good we were dipping our bread in it and wished we could bottle it up to take home. We also tried two Rockefeller oysters and two oregenatta oysters… both were packed with flavor and so good we could’ve easily ordered more. The New England clam chowder was also solid. For our entree, we shared the Boathouse Combo Platter with grouper Siciliano style (baked with Italian breadcrumbs and served with a caper lemon butter sauce), a crab cake, shrimp scampi, a loaded baked potato, and roasted cauliflower with beurre blanc sauce. Plenty of food for two and everything was delicious. We wrapped it up with the crème brûlée cheesecake that Margarita recommended… wow. Phenomenal. Way better than expected. All in all… if you’re in Naples, this place is a must. We totally get the hype and will definitely be back.

Overall very disappointing despite the location and seemingly appealing menu. On arrival - reserved on Open Table - asked for outdoor seating and hostesses were less than nice despite plenty of outdoor seating readily available and empty tables. Not friendly at all but eventually accommodated when we were literally the only ones waiting for a table as well.

Ordered a few rounds of drinks and brought our two boys as well (for reference). My wife’s dinner/lunch was okay - was the snow crab + clams, and shrimp.

I ordered the seafood boil with lobster tail. I also asked in advance if the lobster tail was fresh or frozen and was given a non answer/non-verbal but was reassured it was not frozen? I know it’s obviously not local but is it fresh or frozen? Also the menu specifically said choice of crab or lobster tail. Also for reference this is a $45 dish, which for Naples isn’t that outlandish but you should expect moderately good quality and I’m totally okay paying for it. Anyways, when the dish came out it included 2 lobster tails, plural. Not a lobster tail. Normally this would be good but the lobster tails were the saddest and smallest things you have ever seen. Maybe about 1.5 inches each and the most dried up, ashy, tasteless, bland lobster you could ever imagine. Combined you’d be hard to argue they even measure the size of one lobster TAIL. So gross I couldn’t even eat the last one and the waiter (Eduardo) asked and I asked him specifically if the kitchen could taste them and that they were terrible. He just walked off and then brought the check… also the claims, mussels and everything else were bathing in oil. You could literally fill a water cup full of oil from both mine and my wife’s plates. So gross. We were saying that it would be different it were a boil, bouillabaisse or a dish intended to have broth but it was SO nasty. It’s very evident the kitchen doesn’t check anything and the waiter 100% just took the plate back and dumped it, no apology, no ask to even modify the check, etc even though we provided some feedback. I know it’s Naples so I get it being in the industry, but if a guest gives you that feedback you should close the loop, send over a manager, pass to the chefs, etc to taste. But it was seriously the worst lobster I’ve ever had and if you say you are getting a lobster tail, you expect a lobster tail. Not two crawfish sized lobsters that are frozen lobster, tasteless nasty garbage. Again, wouldn’t be an issue if the kitchen, waiter or management wouldn’t have owned the issue or even tasted it. But I know 100% it just went in the trash, end of story.

Would not recommend, poor service, awful food, only thing good was the view despite the...

We have eaten at the boat house a few times. Keep hoping to be wowed by the food. Last week we made a reservation for a Tuesday night. Our reservation was about 30 minutes late. The hostess explained they were running behind due to seating a bunch of large parties at the same time. Our server was good but definitely struggling to keep up with flow. About 15/20 minutes after ordering our server approached me to say they were out of the Mahi I had ordered. I changed to the grouper, to be prepared the same way, broiled in a lemon butter with a lemon caper sauce. When the dinner arrived the grouper was beyond over cooked, dry with no sauce in sight and smothered in paprika. My baked potato and Brussels sprouts were barely cooked. The same sides as well as the broiled portion of dinner were the same for my partner, under and over done immensely. We didn’t alert the server or send back our meals as we were with guests who were enjoying what they ordered and I didn’t want the awkwardness of returning and waiting for another dish. I did call and ask for the manager the very next day. I was informed by her that there was nothing to be done except for a 25% off coupon for when I come back. If I had brought it to my server attention perhaps I could have ordered another meal or been credited but the next day was too late. I asked to speak to the owner and was informed he did not have anything to do with issues like I was having. I was told the accountant might be able to assist but probably not. The manager was curt and really expressed it was my fault for not saying something the night before and now nothing could be done for 2 meals we paid over $100 for just an evening ago. I asked if she would please pass on my information to the accountant and she said she would but I probably would not get a call. I have waited a few days giving them time to return my call before posting this review. If you pride yourself on excellent food and customer service the customer should at the least be heard and not just dismissed. Very disappointing and...
