We were extremely shocked and upset by our experience. Horrible service and attitude.
It took 50 minutes for the waiter to take our order after asking another waiter and the owner to have our order taken because we couldn't find our waiter.
When we spoke to the owner she said it was because we didn't order appetizers so it takes longer for the food to come. We explained we've been in the restaurant industry and how this isn't a factor in backing up the kitchen. We let them know we were waiting a long time. We suggested they offer a free glass of wine or a coffee for the time we waited and were frustrated and she was extremely defensive and rude. She said we were wrong and left.
The table next to us asked if we had any luck because they were waiting as long as us for the food. Food and drinks were very small portions and not worth the cost.
The owner's husband came and tried sweet talking in his tacky checkered suit and boots. He then brings up our wait time and we explained calmly our experience and he repeated what his wife said. He reacted in a very defensive and hostile way and said we shouldn't ask for a gesture for our time because it costs him money and he doesn't need our business. We almost felt like they were going to fight us. We said we wouldn't come back and he told us never to come back and told us we weren't classy and stormed off. Very rude and should have thicker skin and a more commercial attitude if you're in...
Read moreWe had the pleasure of dining at Chez Boet last night and it was an absolute delight! This very special restaurant is renowned for its exquisite home cooked French cuisine, and our experience did not disappoint. We were delighted to find live music playing during the evening by a very talented young pianist and singer.
For starters, we ordered their delicious escargot in parsley, garlic, Ricard butter, and duck liver pate. The flavors were out of this world – a perfect combination of savory, creamy, salty goodness! And for the main course… wow.
We opted for the rack of lamb with Dijon, herbes, which was cooked to perfection with a lovely port wine sauce; plus the duck in a fresh orange and orange liqueur sauce that melted in your mouth with each bite. Not only was every dish presented beautifully but they tasted divine as well!
Last but certainly not least, dessert. We shared the Napoléon, the puff pastry was so light and fluffy with home made creme Chantilly, fresh seasonal berries. And the Apple Tarte Tatin was out of this world. Their desserts are made fresh daily on site. It truly was heavenly – light yet decadent with just the right amount of sweetness to end our meal perfectly.

Read moreWe have eaten at Chez Boet for several years. Recently, we ate at the restaurant and were disappointed. We go there because we like their food. We ordered escargot, endive salad and the duck. The escargot and duck were excellent but the salad was bland. We like their lentil salad better. However, we were very disappointed in their staff. When we arrived we were escorted to our table by the window. Several minutes later our server came by to tell us we had to leave by a certain time for another reservation. Why didn't the maitre d tell us this when we arrived. The server said we could move to another table. We stayed at our table. While we were eating dinner a staff member kept going behind our table to retrieve candles from a tray on the floor. Once or twice, but don't do this four or five times. Take the tray and move it somewhere else. Also, while we were eating the staff moved a table and chairs behind our table. Then they moved a large table outside on the patio. Do this before patrons arrive at the restaurant. Lastly, we overheard some staff discussing why a bottle of wine wasn't ordered, a problem with a reservation, etc. The food may have been good but the evening was ruined by the disorganized staff. We will think twice about eating at...
