Yacht Club Subs — Restaurant in Naples

This place is a hidden gem. Amazing!

I am saddened to be giving this place anything less than 5 stars. I have been here about 10-15 times since they opened in 2021, and the quality of the food is as good as ever. There is a reason YCS has a perfect 5.0 rating on google reviews.

With that said, the experience I had today left my family disappointed and frustrated. I ordered 3 sandwiches for me and my parents. We placed the online order at 10:40am (they open at 10:30). Typically, when you place an online order, they will text your cell phone number and give you an updated pick-up time (online, it says orders of less than 6 subs are typically ready in 30-45 minutes).

At 10:53am, I received a text saying that our order would be ready at 11:45. I understand that this is one of the busiest weeks of the year in Naples and that they are receiving more orders than usual. With that said, an hour wait for 3 sandwiches is a bit ridiculous (especially considering I ordered at 10:40 on a Wednesday - again, I understand it’s a busy time of year). Since I am currently ill, my mom was nice enough to pick up the subs and got there right at 11:45. When she arrived, she was told that they were “still working on 2 of the sandwiches”, but eventually received our order at 11:55am—1 hour and 15 minutes after the online order was placed.

My mom overheard the employees saying that they were no longer accepting online or call-in orders (likely because of how busy they were). She told me that customers ordering sandwiches in-person were quoted a wait time of 30 minutes. I totally get that this is a small, local sub shop and I expect to wait 30-45 minutes for my subs (usually I wouldn’t wait more than 20-30 minutes, but the subs here are great). I should also note that wait times have progressively gotten worse over the last 2 years as more people discover YCS.

I wanted to leave an honest review for future customers and let people know that this place is struggling to keep up with demand. I know everyone at YCS is working hard, but because of my experience today, I will not be ordering from here as often as I would like to. Hopefully they can figure out a way to streamline the process or move to a bigger location...

This is a very late post but I promised the owner I would write a review. Almost a year ago I was hosting my birthday weekend in Naples at the Cove Inn. I searched local sub shops in the area to host a light dinner after all us us traveling and getting settled in. That being said, I found Yacht Club Subs online and called. I ordered a variety 6-8 of different types of subs. Let me tell you as boy from Jersey originally I have high expectations of sandwiches. These were absolutely fantastic 👏 . The owner even hand delivered himself and we chatted for a few minutes. The quality of the bread and ingredients was off the charts! You can tell when someone is truly passionate about thier products. You definitely will not find another sandwich out there like Yacht Clubs Sub. If you're in the area I recommend you pop in and eat. We fed 15 people for two meals on those subs and we all still talk about it today. Can't wait to get back there! It just goes to show that 10 months later I'm still thinking about how good those subs were. Road trip this...

Friendly, awesome sub place with good food and neat sodas. They let me sit outside with my small dog and I got a "Skinny Dip", the roast beef dip with au jus and provolone. It was delicious, and a ton of meat for the price.

They let you pick the size of your sub, from tiny to huge (what a great idea) and they have Yacht club flavored sodas which are delicious. Definitely give one of them a try. They have to go containers and do pickup too.

There are some parking spots right in front of the store, but a few more in the surrounding streets. I think the place would be full before it was hard to park. The people working there could not have been nicer! I think the store is new, and they are still setting up their internet presence.

Charlie, the store dog is adorable. Stop in and get a great sub for a great price! The chef even came out while I was eating and asked if my sub was good :)...
