This was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had — and frankly, it felt racially charged. I visited the Buffalo Wild Wings in Nashville expecting a casual night out with friends and left feeling disrespected, disregarded, and deeply uncomfortable. What I experienced wasn’t just bad service — it was something deeper, something that suggested an underlying bias in how they treat their customers, especially Black patrons.
From the moment we walked in, it felt like we were an inconvenience to the staff. We were not greeted with the same friendliness or attentiveness that we saw other tables — specifically non-Black tables — receive. It took an unreasonably long time for our server to acknowledge us, and when they finally did, their tone was dry, short, and unwelcoming. We noticed several parties who came in after us being seated and served before us, despite us having been waiting longer.
Throughout our visit, our server barely checked in, got parts of our order wrong, and acted as though any request we made was a burden. Meanwhile, we watched staff go above and beyond for nearby tables who did not look like us. The contrast was blatant, and it wasn’t just frustrating — it was infuriating. There is a difference between being understaffed and being selectively inattentive. What we experienced felt intentional.
It’s disheartening and honestly exhausting to have to navigate these kinds of situations in 2025. Black customers deserve the same level of respect, hospitality, and courtesy as anyone else walking through those doors. If this were an isolated incident, I might have given it the benefit of the doubt. But when everyone at our table notices the same pattern — being ignored, being rushed, being treated like we don’t belong — it’s not a coincidence. It’s a culture problem.
Buffalo Wild Wings, you need to take a hard look at the way your staff treats Black patrons, because this isn’t just about customer service — it’s about dignity. Until then, I won’t be returning, and I’ll be encouraging others to spend their money at places that actually value all of their...
Read moreWas here once before a few years ago the food was soso. Thought I would try again. Sat in the bar this time and the service was 100 better. Draft apparently has been out for a week or so. Ordered a Corona for myself and tea for my husband. Beer could definitely be colder but very thirsty after the outdoor 102 degree I did order another but just not cold enough. The iced tea was amazing though. We ordered chips and salsa and the top of the salsa had fresh pico and under it was salsa. We had the six wings boneless with lemon pepper and Parm garlic sauce. Wish I had not because whoever was cooking added so much salt they were inedible. We had the All American burger and the Brisket burger which was also so salty we had to give them back for remake. My mouth at 9pm was still wrinkled from the salt. I must say that the onion rings where amazing with no salt believe that! We actually brought our food home with boneless no salt added wings for our son and they were amazing. As for the meals my husband and I had well, I threw away the wings and we have not yet ate the salt free burgers🙂🙂! I am a little afraid because after they brought out the food and packed all to go the female blond cook with the bandana came out and stared me down till we left! Again the bartender was friendly and a pleasure to sit there and watch some golf and have a beer with lunch. I tipped her well and made sure to over tip as she said good things about a food runner young man. She said he works the hardest of them all and that he's a real go getter. I am always happy to see employees acknowledge each other! The employees on duties other then the blond was friendly, bathrooms were pretty clean as I could see from washing my hands before eating, manager was professional and answered several questions I inquired on for personal knowledge and the outside area was clean and tidy. My visit was on Thursday June 16th at around 3. Thanks for the service, get rid of the salt and reprimand the young lady and explain that if she wants to move up in life she needs to take a...
Read moreA group of friends and I have been visiting this BWW location for nearly 5 years. We have been going here long enough to know most of the waitresses, bartenders and managers by name. So much so, that when we arrive they ask us if we want our "usual" food and drinks. Tonight was not one of these times.
After dinner down the road, we stopped in for a beer or two and wanted to watch a football game, which started at 9 PM CST and asked the bartender to change the channel on a small, side TV to the game. When she went to change it, the NEW manager ripped the remote from her hand and said "It starts at 10. It's on the sheet."
After hearing this, we looked it up on our phones, and the game clearly started at 9 PM, and had already begun. When she went to change it again, the manager returned and took the remote away again and told us "It's on that channel back there" (pointing to a TV directly behind us) and said, "We will see at 9!"
Excuse me? What did we do to deserve this treatment? Only 5 years of patronage and thousands of dollars spent, but that means nothing I guess.
After this reaction, we say to the bartender "That was rude." and she gets mad at us for putting her in the middle of it! In the middle of what? A manager treating customers like crap? We reply with, "We aren't putting you in the middle of anything. We are customers." Her response? "Oh you're gonna play the 'customer is always right' line?" After slamming some glasses behind the bar, she comes back and asks if we want nay other drinks. We say "no." Then she says "I would like an apology before you leave." An apology for what? We weren't even mad at you, we were mad at the manager's treatment of you and us!?
After we paid, she stormed out of the bar and into the kitchen in a huff. This bar and restaurant has gone down hill over the past year or so, but I have to say, tonight was a new low. Worst service I have a ever experienced, to a group of customers who come in 50 times a...
