This is definitely your affordable spot of you’re not looking for a luxurious experience and are more on the budget friendly side. Hence the 4-stars for location (such a close 10 minute walk to Broadway!), limited free hot breakfast from 7a-10a, friendly staff, and based on getting the new renovated rooms. Yes, as many others have mentioned this “hotel” is undergoing a lot of construction and renovation and you can hear all the noise if you’re outside. But it’s only annoying when you have to walk past the super loud drilling that’s going on in the parking lot and elsewhere during the daytime. Front desk staff is SO amazingly friendly on check-in and check out. ((( RENOVATED NEW UPGRADED MODERN ROOMS ))) The room is on the small side but enough for sure for one or two people not spending too much time inside a hotel during a Nashville trip. ••• Pros: - friendly staff - bathroom (no bath) but shower and all feels very modern - small closet for a few garments - TV with cable and HBO - beds and pillows are fairly comfy - AC controlled by you - mini fridge that works! - desk space in the room - small GYM across the parking lot with a few machines in case you need a workout but I’d just recommend walking 12 minutes over to BiCentennial park for a nice post meal pick me up :) - water cooler / filter at the gym is perfect for those with reusable water bottles to reduce plastic use - stairs and elevator access - no carpet on floors - DOORS OPEN INWARDS in the NEW rooms (doors have security peep hole) - free warm breakfast daily 7-10a - comes out fairly quickly in a Togo styrofoam box - snack bar for purchase Cons: - rooms on the small end - if you’re in your room during the daytime, you can hear all the hallway doors slamming :/ - loud noise from construction and a bit of dust in outside areas and elevator / doors during daytime - NO hairdryer nor iron in the rooms - stairs doors are sticky! Gotta really put some elbow grease there to not think you’ve been locked out lol Overall, this spot was affordable and gets a 4 stars based on the quality and pricing and location. Didn’t feel unsafe walking by myself back from Broadway in the evening and it’s all pretty close to the major areas for food and if you wanna get away from that, the state Capitol, the park and other scenery is just another 10-12 minutes away in the opposite direction. Tip: if you’re NOT booking during peak season, this hotel doesn’t seem to be that expensive if you book on their own site. So I actually booked too many months in advance whereas when I compared prices 2 weeks before it was actually cheaper by over $100 for the stay -__-

This is NOT a 3 star hotel. This is a motel. Access to all rooms is via elevator outside. No clear declaration that some rooms have exterior access. We asked for an interior room upon check-in and were told that they were sold out. We later looked online and there were "premium" king rooms available. Upon entering the room, the smell of bleach was overpowering. It's hard to be mad for a clean room, but I had to leave the door open and the fan running when we first entered. The room has clearly recently been refurbished which looks good but nothing nicer than anything you'd find at a Comfort Inn or other 2 star motels. They also spent no money on replacing the bed from the late 90s. It was the single most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept in. The mattress had springs but was somehow hard as a rock? My husband and I slept on opposite edges of the king mattress in order to not sink down in the middle. When we woke this morning, the smell of bleach was gone, replaced by the scent of urine. We paid $339, plus fees and parking, for a total of $402, for the worst hotel experience. I will say that although the front desk worker at check-in misinformed us about "upgrading", she was extremely pleasant and talking up the hotel. The clerk at check-out was also extremely pleasant and helpful. The friendliness of staff and location is the only positive about our stay.

Horrible place to stay. Booked this hotel for a fun 4 days ,but upon arriving I thought I was at a shady motel. Couldn’t find the check-in as it was part of a small convenient store. Front desk help was not friendly at all and was mad the phone was continuing to ring. Got our room cards and was told the elevator was outside not realizing it was in a parking lot . At this point not feeling too safe as I was traveling with children. Got to our rooms not realizing they were outside rooms consistent of a motel. It was louder than I hoped with the outside rooms . Once inside I couldn’t get past the musty smell of the room . Called to see if I could get a partial refund as I knew at this point I couldn’t stay here. They said no . Called Expedia who I booked through and the agent from Expedia called the “hotel” and tried for me explain to me again how we felt. He got back to me said sorry they were rude to him as well and there was nothing he could do. All I can say is DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL. . You will be extremely disappointed Ended up going to the Hyatt Place and was so happy we did. Clean , friendly and not a bad thing to say about this place. I highly recommend the Hyatt Place!

On May 12, 2022 We were greeted abruptly by an employee after our late arrival (due to late flight). It was apparent that she was waiting for us. She let us know that we were given the last possible room available. I thought that was odd, considering we booked it months earlier. She then proceeded to tell us if we couldn’t handle the room due to the elevator we could get another room the next day. The stay was absolutely the worst experience I’ve ever had. We did not get any amount of sleep due to the loud crashes we heard- every minute- ALL.NIGHT.LONG. My husband being an elevator guy- tracked down the elevator company that was there at the building. The consensus is that the elevator is NOT in good repair- and there were no immediate plans to get it fixed, not only causing a danger to anyone who uses, but I couldn’t imagine if a child used the elevator and put their hand through the door as it was running. A sign on the elevator limiting to 3 people screams scary. Riding it and seeing the open space between the door and wall AS you’re riding it screams extreme danger. If anyone actually cared. I wish you much luck on fixing that immediately. In the morning I went down to discuss the room events with the employee at the front desk. He knew exactly which room we were in- without even telling him. He did not offer another room. Only offered your email address (which didn’t work, so I’m contacting through Expedia now) and then guaranteed that we would be refunded by contacting you. We ended up having to find another hotel. This was not in our vacation budget and put a strain on the rest of our vacation. This is extremely disheartening as we normally love Nashville. $1,300 for only getting to stay one terribly awful night? This is my first attempt to rectify this problem. I do not believe we should be charged and do expect a full refund. Please let me know if it is a problem to get that refund. At this point we will still continue to come to Nashville, but we know where to steer clear from- Capital...

The truly wonderful front desk staff gets the one star for this motel. Right, this is a motel, not a hotel. Definitely not a 3-star hotel. The motel gets zero stars for the bait and switch, noise, cheap mattress and dirty outdoors hallways.

First, the price. When booking we considered either a real 3-star hotel or a Tru-Hilton as a budget alternative. We picked this one up as Priceline was shoving this ad in our face with the express deal, where you pay for a 3-star category and location and learn the name of the hotel after the booking is complete. What a mistake. This motel is worth a third of its price, and for that price you might as well pick a brand new Tru-Hilton.

Valet parking was $30 - outrageous Chicago rate.. But the valet himself was super nice.

Third, know that the hallways are outdoors, poorly aged and dirty. Very unpleasant.

The room. The room was spruced up a bit and had a new bathroom. It was tiny and seemed clean, but suspect considering the rest of the experience.

The mattress was a thin, hard, worn down, noisy spring mattress. Terrible sleeping experience.

Noise. There is zero noise insulation. A group of drunk people were yelling in the outdoors hallway all night. I had to get up and tell them to keep it down. So we couldn't even get a good night sleep.

This one is nitpicking, but no Chromecast on the TV set, so you can't stream content like Netflix.

Breakfast was a nice touch, the lady at the front desk was so kind to pack us breakfast as we called after the service ended.

Summary, if you need just ANY place to sleep and everything else is booked, stay here. Otherwise, for the same $$ book a real hotel, a 3-star hotel. If you are on a budget stay at a newer budget hotel. This one is absolutely not...
