To set the tone for the stay was I checked in an hour early to enjoy the pool before starting a busy time at the CMA Fest. The pool was still being filled on 6/5/25. All the pools I know of open Memorial Day weekend. Man at desk said 2 hours for it to be open. I would be having supper then & going to Opry afterwards. Filling a pool with cold water out of a water hose isn't going to be warm. He tried & act like it would be warm. I did attempt to get in Saturday night, 3 days after completing filling the pool. The water was still cold, at no surprise to me. So much for my extra day stay & enjoying the pool. The water wasn't going to be warm anytime soon. The room was satisfactory, unless you are 1 that picks a room apart. If your only providing housekeeping every 3 days unless requested, the following needs to be changed. Double occupancy is furnished 3 wash clothes, no coffee cups but left 1 day supply of coffee & no extra trash bags. I brought my own instant coffee bags but needed coffee cups. I requested cups & received none. I did receive a wash cloth. The towel mat I was using was folded up & placed on tub like it was replaced. I know it wasn't due to there was an area that was down to threads & this mat was down to threads in identical area. My room got cleaned on the 3rd day but no restocking of wash clothes, TP, cups, still no coffee cups. I went to the desk & got supplies needed. The next day housekeeping returned. I was guessing it was due to me complaining of no stocking the day before. I went to breakfast 1 morning. The OJ & Apple juice was straight water. The waffle was ok. The egg & sausage link was luke warm. Having 1 employee run the front desk & maintain the breakfast was too much for the young lady during a busy festival. The bed was comfortable & the price was right, hotel needs to eethink of stocking room for 3 days. I have no problem keeping sheets on or reusing towel but housekeeping needs to come at minimum of every other day to tidy room up, restock & remove trash. After the price range, the 1st thing I look for in the summer months is an outdoor pool. If I had known the pool was just being filled & would be cold for my trip, I would have booked elsewhere. Unfortunately booking 6 months in advanced, you won't necessarily get correct...
Read moreThe room was clean and comfortable and had the basic sleeping/bathing necessities at a reasonable price. The location is convenient to food, music, and other Nashville attractions. I didn't give a 10 because the room is not conducive to visiting with other people, with only two chairs (one desk & one comfy).
The following is information that I like knowing in advance. The hotel has open-air doors overlooking the parking lot instead of an interior hallway. The hotel room is attractively-but-inexpensively designed. The black-out shades do not fully protect from eastern sunlight. The large vanity & open closet area with ample shelving fills the end of the room outside the bathroom (with toilet & shower/tub combo) and has bright lighting, which is great for users, but may disturb anyone sleeping. There are no towel holders, making towel-reuse difficult. There's a full-length mirror, which is inadequately lit for make-up application by nearsighted people, but great for seeing outfits (bad make-up lighting is a COMMON flaw in hotel rooms, even high-end ones). The bed next to the wall had a decent aisle for getting in & out. There is space for a portable crib/playpen.
The rest of the room has both ample lighting & ample plug-in sockets. There were 5 hangers, so bring your own. The larger-than-average refrigerator doesn't have a freezer. There's a desk area with a chair & one comfy chair, so additional people must sit on the beds. The TV is nice, but doesn't tilt sideways -- it's for people in bed. The HVAC unit takes 3 hours to adjust, but its thermostat is accurate, a rarity in hotels. The coffee-maker makes a single cup & two packets of regular are provided. There are soap bars for both the sink & tub and bulk shampoo & conditioner in the shower. The free breakfast is mostly cereal; there were some eggs & fruit, but they...
Read moreNegatives first: Finishing touches of their reno still need to be completed. The threshold of the door needs to be replaced. When we turned out the lights, we could see light from outside. Uponon arriving home, I went online to check reviews and read about cockroach sightings in this hotel in the summer of 2024. No wonder with gaps under the doors. Anyway, I understand that cockroaches are a big problem in the US. I didn’t see any cockroaches myself, and I did check! I assume an exterminator must have treated this property since others complaints. A suggestion, put ventilation in the toilet/bath area...there was no working fan, just a square on the wall with no switch. If this is a different system than I know, my apologies. A bit of paint touchup around bathroom vent that is there. TV receptacle could be updated. On the positive side, the beds are extremely comfortable and the new furniture is lovely. A desk chair would have been nice, but maybe they are on backorder. The new carpets and black out curtains are very nice! I did notice the fire alarm system updates and outdoor camera surveillance and for these two reasons alone, I would return to this hotel. I felt safe sleeping at your hotel! I appreciate the hard;work put into your renovations and I know all business are struggling after the Covid Pandemic, and the cost of renovation material. I estimate there ate around 100 rooms at this hotel and that is very costly to renovate after a pandemic! The young lady at the front desk was friendly and kind, and your continental breakfast was adequate for a light breakfast. My sister and I went to the continental breakfast both mornings. Our hubbies were able to walk to Cracker Barrel next door and have a big breakfast, which they like. You have a great location for this hotel, and I wish...
