I am in nashville celebrating my sister's birthday, and she wanted a steak, so when I saw this restaurant I considered it because there is one in Atlanta at Cumberland Mall and I loved it!!! This one was a total disappointment!!! I made a reservation for 7:30p.m, we arrived at maybe 7:25 and I told the receptionist that I had a reservation for 7:30, she told us to have a seat while they get the table. Okay, I did understand because I figured they were going to wait until it was 7:30 . Another women came to the front and was just standing there, my sister thought that I was upset about something else and I let her know that I was upset because why did I book a reservation if I wanted to sit. I looked at my phone and it was 7:32, then 7:36, I watched the receptionist go back and forth as if she was preparing a table, and finally called us and asked us for our last name when we were the only people sitting there and I told her my full name when I told her about the reservation. We are lead to the dining area and we are passing a ton of open tables, and this women, 9 minutes later sits us in the back between a round table of people and another set of people, my sister then said she didn't want to sit there, and they then put us in a booth at the front where they passed in the beginning. Once we sat, the waiter came over, and I will say that she was very pleasant, however by now I am irritated, but the waiter continued on with her pleasant attitude, after we ordered our appetizer, drinks and she took our order, the second women who decided to come to the front and just stand and not acknowledge thought it would be a professional move to talk to our waiter right there at our table in which she told her that I got upset over a little wait time and that is why we were in her section. First, UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!! How dare you talk about the customer to the employee in front of the customer, secondly whether I got upset or didn't, there were two other parties that came in and was seated right down and did not have to sit and wait, not only that they had glasses of water waiting for them as they arrived at the table. This is not my first time at a Stoney River Restaurant, I am from Atlanta, Georgia and have eaten at the one in Cobb county and never have I had to deal with disrespect and unprofessionalism from a manager or whatever she is. I hope you get this together Nashville, because she is definitely going to cause waitress to miss out on money because of her mouth!!! You can determine your experience at this restaurant if...
Read moreWell I must say I’m disappointed in this restaurant that used to be one of my family’s favorites in Nashville. We had dinner here at the West End location on June 17, 2021 to celebrate my mother’s birthday. It’s the first place she wanted to go to after staying out of restaurants for over a year due to the pandemic. The quality of the food sadly was the biggest issue over multiple plates. First off, we waited a long time to get our order taken. It was a party of 6. Three of us ordered the lobster bisque which was ok just unexpectedly spicy . I ordered the steak house burger ( bread was hard) and it was so salty I couldn’t eat it- just full of so much salt my lips were burning. My daughter gave me some of her prime rib sandwich which was ok but again the hoagie bread was hard. Both kids ordered the same sandwich ( hard bread) and the macaroni and cheese which is usually good but this was so oily instead of creamy/ cheesy they couldn’t eat it. These kids have had this before and really enjoyed it. My mother had the grilled shrimp again which was salty and the loaded baked potato. Her potato was served barely warm ( not even enough to warm up the cheese- forget melting it). My husband had the prime rib which he says was good but again with the lukewarm potato. My dad had the trout which was fine but his broccoli was quite overcooked. We called the restaurant before we arrived to tell them we would be celebrating a birthday and they made a note of it saying our server would be informed. So after dinner I mentioned this to our server when I didn’t see them making any preparations to bring my mother anything. My server then looked a little funny then goes to check with the kitchen . She returns saying that the kitchen closed 10 minutes ago and that they would not make any exceptions to serve a complimentary slice of cake. So needless to say we were quite disappointed to pay for this expensive meal and had sad mediocre food . It put a damper on celebrating with my mother. This many issues on a single ticket reveals a quality control issue to me. Now our server did get the salty burger that I couldn’t eat removed from the ticket so that was appreciated . However , I don’t write reviews like this but since there were so many issues for a restaurant like this to have it was worth it so they can be addressed . Especially since right now , no one in my family...
Read moreMy friend and I went to this location on Monday night. We have been here multiple times prior and have never had any issues before. We were seated in the bar area in a booth. We were greeted right away to what we believed was our server, someone who introduced herself as Sydney ( black rimmed glasses and black nail polish) told us that her or the other bartender would be taking care of us that evening. She recommend a bottle of wine. I ordered that bottle of wine and a glass of white wine for my friend, also at that time we ordered a spinach dip for an appetizer. In about 15 minutes after the order, the other bartender who’s name I do not recall but was extremely busy ; as he was taking care of the bar, plus the service well, and our table came to us to ask if we were ready to order our dinner. We told him we were not in a rush and would wait, thinking that our appetizer was ordered and being prepared. He then went back behind the bar. About 10 minutes later my friend had finished her glass of wine and moved it to the end of the table. We watched the girl who originally took our order go back and forth to the bathroom about three times, but not once glanced in our direction. We finally stopped her about 35 minutes after our initial greet to just ask if we could order our dinner, since we still had no spinach dip on the table, she then replied with, “let me go see who your server is.” This left us both a little befuddled considering she made it seem like she would be taking care of us. Because we both were in the service industry for 15 + years we waited patiently for about another ten minutes, absolutely no one came over. Unfortunately we had to do something we have never done , we got up and left without paying, because we couldn’t even track anyone down for a bill after 45 minutes of being there, and we were starving and had not eaten since lunch. We took our business across the street to Bricktops and had an entire meal from start to finish in an hour. We are gladly willing to pay for the two glasses of wine that were left, we just couldn’t get in touch with anyone on the floor while at the establishment. Can not say if we will be coming back in the future or not, things do happen, but this was a...
