51st Deli - West end — Restaurant in Nashville-Davidson

This place has many food and drink offerings. The drinks alone has an entire wall to choose from. The staff are super friendly and patient. Here is what we got:

The Reuben (H) $12.00 Corned Beef, Swiss, Sauerkraut, Thousand Island on Marble Rye

7.5/10 nothing wrong with it just nothing stood out. I thought it needed a bit more meat and sauerkraut. The marble rye toast was perfect. Wife didn't like the 1000 island but I did.

Burritos $9.00 Meat Options: Asada, Pollo, Pastor, Carnitas, Barbacoa, Chorizo, Shrimp (+$1), Falafel (+$1), Nashville Hot Chicken (+$1), Fish (+$1), Fajita Asada or Pollo (+$1)

8.5/10 very solid carnitas burrito with beans and rice. I asked for extra crispy pork and they delivered. It was very good with the red and green hot sauce

I will definitely come back and try more of their mexican fare along...

My husband and I just left this restaurant.The presentation of the food was not photo worthy. My husband ordered a 51st Chicken Philly with all the fixings and he did not enjoy it. The chicken had not flavor and the bell peppers added no flavor. I order a southern favorite, which is a bologna sandwich, it lack flavor and they put too much mustard. All I tasted on the sandwich was the bread and mustard. Also, I ordered a burger with all the fixings. I couldn’t stomach the burger because it had no flavor and all the toppings were soggy. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. My husband had a slice of pecan pie it was too sweet. We spent 50+ dollars and all we enjoyed were the drinks. Service and atmosphere were fine. Sandwiches were good BUT moldy food will ruin an experience and everything with it

Along with the sandwiches my coworker and I ordered yesterday (7/9), ticket 164 around 11:22 am, I picked up a clamshell of cannolis from the open refrigeration case as you walk through to order.

I had one during our lunch and it was completely soggy. I got home a couple hours later and looked at the other which I did bring home with me and noticed it was moldy. There’s no way it went moldy in the AC of my truck on the way back down to Chatt. The clamshell is stickered in date but this is gross and evident that that refrigeration unit cannot keep the contents cool enough.
