Baristas are very friendly and service is incredibly quick! If you're a regular patron with a usual drink, they easily remember exactly what you order every time, even if it has a lot of modifications (unless the barista is new or in-training, of course). Since it is very close to Vanderbilt, it does tend to stay reasonably busy most of the time, and students working on papers, etc. do tend to bogart the vast majority of available seating. They do have some seating outside, and there's even a fireplace out there which is nice! =) If you're walking from campus or an office bldg nearby, it's usually easy to get in and out quickly; same is true for the drive-thru because even when the line is long, the service is very fast, so cars move thru pretty quickly! Parking is a very different story though, that can be a nightmare because unfortunately, their lot is incredibly small. So, students who drive there to stay for hours studying likewise bogart the parking spaces. Additionally, if/when vehicles in the drive-thru DON'T keep tightly within the inner lane (right next to the bldg), they can block you from even getting to an available parking spot further up, because it's setup like an upside-down U-shape, where you can only ever drive in one direction within the lot. You can only enter to the right of the bldg & exit to the left. So the cars for the drive thru & for parking both enter on the right, but then if you're in the drive thru lane, you initially stay to the left, next to the store, as closely as possible; while the parking spots are angled and to the right. At the top of the inverted U-shape is the back of the store, the big menu board & the speaker box where drive-thru orders are taken. There are ZERO parking spots there. Then, following the traffic flow through..you end up on the opposite side of the store (the left arm of the inverted U when looking at tue store from the street, and where all cars exit the lot), where drive-thru cars are now cleaving to the bldg on THEIR left, and cars looking to park are to the right of them, looking for maybe a total of 6-8 more total spots to the right side. So, it's a very tight fit all the way through, esp during the commute times when everyone is stopping for coffee! During the busiest commute times in the morning, I've seen the line for the drive-thru actually back up out of the lot & onto West End, into the far right...
Read moreThis is my second time visiting this location and so far each time has been phenomenal. Tonight however was the greatest the gentleman that took my order had such high energy which makes me want to continue to come to this location. I was interested in getting a Mocha Frappuccino. Upon seeing the menu they had a Mocha Cookie Crumble. I usually stick to three types of Frappuccinos because of course I like what I like. Well I asked about the Mocha Cookie Crumble and when I say it is and was worth everything. It’s like chocolate milk meets coffee but the coffee doesn’t hit you in the face because the layers of whipped cream says let’s relax and take turns we will all meet the tastebuds together. The Oreo crumbles are perfect I mean this right here is my new passion I will definitely come back and not just for the great drink but for the great customer service because when I say I know it’s hard to work a night shift and still maintain a chipper demeanor but this gentleman with the beard and short hair cut made it even better. I did not catch his name but he was great. I’m sure all the staff is because in the past visit the young lady was also phenomenal. You guys are the Target and the Chick fil A of the coffee game for me in terms of Nashville and awesome...
Read moreThis place has gone downhill since the remodel. They close the lobby at 10 but the drive thru is open ‘till midnight. I used to spend hours here studying late at night, I would use the restroom and go back and get refills and snacks multiple times. If I wanted to do that now, I would have to leave all of my stuff outside, get in my car, order something at the drive thru, turn left on the street (since you can’t do a u-turn in the lot past the drive-thru window), turn left into the parking lot again, park my car, and come back and sit down. Hopefully my stuff and parking spot would still be there. WHY?! This is beyond ridiculous. It just defies the purpose. Either keep everything open ‘till midnight or put everyone out of their misery and close at 10. This is just false advertising at best and a blatant, inconsiderate lie at worst. This place is no longer my go-to, late-night chill spot. I’m gonna avoid it during the day too. So disappointing. This experience left a bad taste for all things Starbucks in my mouth, figuratively and literally since my drink and my friend’s were cold and gross by the time we...
