For context, I am not someone that normally writes google reviews. But this case is exceptional.
I stayed here about a month and a half ago, but I wanted to ensure that the $250 hold that they place on the account when you make a reservation was removed before writing my review (annoying, but that's a totally different matter but not the reason I'm reviewing). While the room itself was beautiful and luxurious, unfortunately it had BUGS. I was relaxing in the impeccably made bed, which as you can see from the photos was completely tucked in at the bottom corners, when I felt something CRAWLING UP MY INNER THIGH. When I pulled back the comforter, I discovered a COCKROACH (or beetle? I'm not a bug expert, either way it was DISGUSTING). The fact that it had crawled up from the tucked in comforter means it was either there BEFORE the bed was made, or it was living in the linens that they use. I will say that the rest of the room was immaculate, and when I arrived there was a seal on the door saying it had been properly cleaned.
Sidenote, if you book on a 3rd party such as agoda, it makes setting up your account impossible as it generates an account under the name of the 3rd party, and customer service does nothing to fix it except refer you back to the 3rd party. SO ANNOYING. Additionally, they charge a $95.00 CLEANING FEE which is not included in the price that they advertise online. I originally booked for $140/night only to discover that the real cost would be $268. Taking that into account along with the unnecessary $250 hold that they place, (so for 1 night on a booking that was advertised as $140, it’s over $500 frozen/withdrawn from my account) overall too much hassle for what it is, not to mention BUGS.
As a previous reviewer mentioned, all that glitters is not gold.

We booked this hotel as a full property buyout for a week-long staff retreat, investing over $25,000 for our entire team. What we experienced was beyond unacceptable—it was disgraceful.
Upon arrival, it was immediately clear the property had not been cleaned or inspected. We encountered:
Food on the floors and couches Dirty dishes left in the dishwasher and cabinets Mold visibly growing in the freezer Chewed gum stuck on the wall Floors covered in hair and debris
We weren’t even there for one hour before making the decision to vacate. I informed the company that we would not be checking into any of the rooms due to the unsanitary and hazardous conditions. We were then forced to scramble to find alternative accommodations for our staff as team members were arriving within hours.
Despite the clear and documented issues, AvantStay, the corporate management company behind this property, refused to issue a refund. Their stance? A blanket “contract” that allows them to take your money regardless of whether they provide a safe, clean, or habitable space. No on-site staff. No accountability. No resolution.
This isn’t a case of a few minor housekeeping oversights. This is gross negligence, false advertising, and a complete breach of basic hospitality standards.
We are now seeking legal action to recover our investment.

Read moreUnfortunately had such a terrible experience. There is no staff members based on site which is fine, unless you experience an issue that needs to be addressed. The building allegedly has quiet hours that start at 10pm, when I returned to my room after midnight it was clear that another guest on the floor was hosting a party (hallway smelled of weed, blasting music, pounding, and shouting). I reported this to AvantStay and after an hour there was no response and the excessive noise still continuing. When I called back after an hour I was gaslit several times- first they told me that AvantStay had tried to contact me and wasn’t able to get in touch ( I promptly sent over a screenshot of phone records to disprove this theory) then I was told a member had come over and “investigated” but they couldn’t hear anything. I immediately put the person I was speaking to on speakerphone to disprove this as well. This leads me to believe that no one actually investigated because it was impossible not to hear this, or a staff member was involved with the party itself. The party continued well past 2:30am, the only reason why the noise stopped is when the other guests left, AvantStay did nothing to resolve the issue. To add insult to injury I received no follow up communication from AvantStay following the incident. Upon a follow up email I sent I was given a generic response and told they were “investigating” the incident, I received no discount or compensation for the unacceptable conditions.
