It looked like they were closing down the store. All the employees were around the store or huddled together throwing away candy into big clear trash bags. Bags left here & there scattered throughout the store. One was in our way while trying to get items. One woman I believe her name tag said Stephanie was very loud talking about her other store and how this is how they did things. I believe she was a ASM. We were looking for chocolate covered honeycomb from the fill up a bag area to pick your own candy. It's our favorite. We didn't see it, asked a younger male employee if they had it still, and he was confused and said they had boxed honeycomb on the shelf. And that's not what we asked about. Most of the fill up a bag area had low to nothing left in the bins so not much to chose from. We then waited at the checkout for a few mins while the employees stood in the middle of the store looking over at us, but not asking if we needed help, just a few feet away from us throwing out expired candy , or candy bars that "felt odd and they (employees) should be able to tell just by the feel if its bad" according to the ASM Stephanie who acted like she was the CEO of the company talking down to the girl who asked about the candy bar. After awhile a guy came out with big headphones on from the back of the store , walked over to the other employees, poked his head into the circle of them and said something, finally looked over at us standing there and came waking over to the register to check us out. He apologized to us. The overall experience was definitely the worst one I've had at this location. I've been a SM and I definitely wouldn't of let customers wait that long a few feet away from me without letting them get helped if I was busy or not. Bad customer focus from the ASM. Doesn't matter if it was her store or not, if she was helping them out, you run that store and react with professional urgency to people who are in the store to buy products and give you money. I was embarrassed...
Read moreJust came in to buy a chocolate bar. There was two individuals working behind the front. As I was browsing they were constantly talking down on the US military. As weird as it sounds, they were making fun of and openly discussing their distaste for the nearby guard and reserve. Regardless of their opinions, I don't think they bothered to think of the audience as I was the only customer in store and just finished 6 years in the military. For two employees of a candy store to be openly, talking trash about people in the military is quite ironic but also distasteful. As these two were the only ones there, I'm going to believe that the stance of this establishment is anti-military. I will no longer be shopping here, but I'll make sure all the nearby guys at the nearby bases, especially that national guard base they were directly making fun of down the street. Are well aware that this store does not care for their business.
It was cool coming here as a kid but if I knew that was their attitude probably wouldn't have came here then either.
After their talk about the military, they then kept making jokes about the current hurricane situation in Florida. Especially not cool as my father is down there so that's twice as awful.
Know your audience. Will not...
Read moreMy friend and I were looking forward to getting some candy here as we have not shopped at this store in quite a while. As soon as we walked in the store was empty, not even a person at the register which had me questioning if the store was open. After a few minutes of browsing and picking candy a tall, stinky man appeared from the back room, wearing a very strange outfit that should not be associated with a cute candy shop, and airpods in his ears. He did not acknowledge our presence, merely peering over at us with what seemed to be an annoyed glare. After getting our candy we headed to the register and greeted the man only to be met with absolute silence, whoever this man was, he did NOT want us in the store. Either way, we payed about $30 total for our candy only for ALL of it to be rock hard and past the expiration date. If you have any dignity or self respect please please please do not come here, there were also several boxes blocking most of the candy, it was like participating in a obstacle course for a sweet treat (which is actually rotten). Lolli & Pops, please get your act together because the state of which your candy shop is in is...
