Easter 2018 update the food is still good but Laylay's a moron. My wife called in an order with two plate orders 4 she and I, and a sandwich order for my son we live halfway to Winnie it's a 35 minute drive to Dickey's for us. She gets there and the order is in the bag. We get home And part of the order is not in the bag we call and inform them inform her of her omission. She makes the statement that she can leave a note that we can get a free sandwich the next time we come in??? This is what Dickey's considers to be serviced we drive over an hour round trip for our Easter meal and they can't take the time to make sure it's right? And when we call them on it their solution is a free sandwich next time? A free sandwich? Did We already pay for the sandwich? We asked about A refund for the omitted food and this was above her pay grade and she has to call us back? Still no call. Very dissatisfied with the service at the Nederland Dickies early February 2018the food was not bad I had the slice beef and it was actually good. I did not care as much for the sides, I had the potato salad and coleslaw, I'll give them a pass on the sides because everyone likes these items prepared differently. But when you go to order then explode ribs what's up with that shouldn't they tell you before...

The food was really good. The okra was a bit too salty for my taste but the mac and cheese was delicious. They give a tiny amount for the price. They also don't know what "Texas size" is that they advertise on their menu they will just ring you up for an extra side and a dessert instead of "making it Texas size". The tiny portion size and not being able to make my husband's meal Texas size is why I'm giving this place a 4 star review. I will probably be back on a Sunday for kids eat free but I'll just order a combo meal then because it seems like the better deal.

For 15 dollars I got 4 tiny pieces of chicken, 3 tiny ribs, a small amount of okra, a good size mac and cheese and a roll. The portion sizes can be better but other then that the taste was great and the food was really well seasoned. Everything we had tonight was delicious. I had the two meat plate with pulled pork and sliced brisket. There was very little fat on the brisket and it literally fell apart when I picked it up with a plastic fork! The creamed spinach is probably the best I've ever had. Their fried okra is also really good. It's a fairly large order so I don't get it unless someone wants to share it with me. The baked potato casserole is also very good. My husband said his baked beans and green beans were really good. The roll was very hard. I bit into it but decided not to eat it. The spicy bbq sauce is also really good if you want to kick it up.
