This was by far the WORST restaurant experience I have experienced in my life. Me and my family on my sons birthday were racially profiled! We arrived at approximately 6:15 P.M. I gave the host my name and advised her I had a total party of 6, 1 of which is a highchair, she said ok 15-20 min wait I said great thank you and I had a seat. I began looking around and realized there were open booths some in the bar area and some outside the bar area. I understand that you must be 21 to sit at the bar but we have been seated in tables surrounding the bar before with kids. I walked up to the host about 5 minutes later and advised her it was my sons birthday (the reason for our visit) so she could advised the waitress/waiter so they could sing happy birthday at the end of our meal, again why we chose to have dinner there since your restaurants are always willing to help celebrate. About 10 minutes later we are still waiting to be seated which is ok since I was told 15-20 min wait, and a black family of 4 arrives and is asked to wait as well. About another 10 minutes later a white woman comes in and asks for a table for 6 and is seated immediately without having to wait 1 minute! I made it a point to say out loud that that wasn’t fair, the host Andrew heard me and said something to the host next to him and we were seated about 3 minutes later. As we were walking to the booth the manager Don walked up and I advised him that it wasn’t fair that a family of the same number of people were seated before us he didn’t seem to care and just said ok. My son who is only 10 years old said to me mom maybe he's related to Trump. Yes his comment may have been out of place, BUT if my 10 year old son was able to feel racially profiled because our group was a mixture of black and Hispanics there was clearly an issue. The host Andrew then began talking to the manager Don and pointing at my son, clearly he was speaking foul about my son. He then started pointing at our group and talking about us to the manager Don. I told my group to get up because we are not staying here anymore. I felt very disrespected. I walked towards the manager Don and the host Andrew and confronted them about pointing to my group and talking about us and that we felt racially profiled seeing as a white woman came in and was seated immediately when we were waiting for over 20 minutes. And it wasn’t the size of my party seeing as the black family who came in after me with a party of 4 still wasn’t seated before her either. As I confronted them very upset both Andrew and Don didn’t apologize nor seem to care that we felt racially profiled and disrespected and at this point my sons birthday dinner was ruined. As I was expressing my feelings they laughed at my face literally laughed and giggled. Not once did they apologize or care that we felt so disrespected that we made the...

Diner at Applebee’s but wish we hadn’t. They were very busy. Our server was nice and doing the best she could even though she shouldn’t have been given another table. It took ten minutes to get our drinks correct. Our server noticed how cold the draft was on our table and told us she would have it turned down. It was 20 minutes from the time we ordered before we got side salads, and only received them after we said something. The person we asked to bring our our salads obviously told our too busy server instead of just getting it himself. We again asked to have the air turned down, as we were freezing. Again told yes okay. We finally get our food. But not after long it is soon as cold as we were. Tried to get the attention of someone, anyone, to no avail. We catch our server and explain how unhappy we were while dining and she completely understood and was apologetic. She had the manager come out.
The manager was rude, unhelpful, and only made excuses. Apparently the thermostat is behind a table with guests. 1. Why were we lied to? Would have rather moved tables. 2. Why not ask the guests to move for two seconds? 3. WHY ARE YOU TELLING ME WHY?! I don’t care why. I don’t want your excuses. I’ve worked in food service, and this is not how you approach a guest at your restaurant who has just spent $80.
I told her “We do not care about the excuses.” She stares at us blankly and walked away. Barely mumbled sorry.
We told the server what happened and she apologized profusely. She said she would try to find out what she’s going to do, because the manager left without offering a single solution, let alone three words.
She took 10% off, less than $7 off. Yippee.
Terrible management. Go to another Applebee’s where your money won’t be wasted.
7/1/19 - the above review is from one year ago. Today I went back to this Applebee’s to try again and I was just as sorry as the first time. I ordered an 8 oz steak cooked medium. It came out medium well so I sent it back. It came out the second time and I thought the steak was a bit small. Looking at the receipt I see he ordered me a 6 oz instead of the 8 oz. my grandmas pasta came out more than five minutes after I sent my steak back. Doesn’t make any sense, but after we talk to the manager we find out our server forgot to ring in her pasta. Ah, that makes sense.
The manager discount two meals. We paid $27 for one meal and two lemonades. I would have been fine paying $30 for one meal if it had been a good experience....
Read moreIt got off to a bad start. When I first walked in, two employees were standing at the hostess desk, talking to each other. After five minutes of being completely ignored, both of them walked off. A large group entered behind me, and another employee finally came to the front - and went to them first.
During this time there were about 8 people waiting to be seated, despite a whole section of 10 or 12 tables completely empty in plain site. There were also several people trying to either pickup orders or place an order (myself included in the latter) and the employees milling around seemed more interested in talking to one another than helping patrons.
After all of this, a server finally came to give me a menu, and take my order. She apologized for the wait, and was overall very friendly and professional. She even offered me a free beverage while I waited for my order, which I thought was nice.
It was a 20 minute wait for the order, which is very reasonable. And it was ready right on time.
But then I got home, 15 minutes away. This is where things went downhill fast.
The disabled veteran I care for ordered the 8oz sirloin, with a half rack of ribs. It came with cole slaw, onion rings, and 2 sides. She chose a baked potato and french fries. The baked potato was rock hard, there were only 4 onion rings - and they were pathetic soggy little things - and her french fries were missing completely.
I called to complain and manager Vincent offered to replace the fries, but when I live 15 minutes away and the rest of our dinner is sitting here getting cold that is not realistic. I told him I will get them tomorrow.
Which doesn't change the fact that I had to recook her potato when I got home, or the fact that she doesn't have the fries she ordered for dinner.
For $41 for two people, and I only got an appetizer because I don't eat much typically - the service and quality was pathetic.
Oh, and on a final note. We tried to download the app to avoid some of this hassle by pre-ordering, but it is not compatible with any of the three brand new samsung/android devices we have.
Zero stars if I could, and other than going back to get my stolen french fries I will never set foot in this...
