The last time I had Ike's was in San Francisco and it was the best sandwich I've ever had. I was so excited to see an Ikes here in Vegas! I went before work, ordering online. I called to make sure I had the right location as I was driving there, and the lady on the phone confirmed I was going to the right Ikes and said my order was already done! I went inside and they started my order.. a little confusing, but not a big deal. Anyways, I waited 25 minutes and the girl working apologized saying she forgot I was waiting. Ok, I'm almost late for work but mistakes happen.
I start driving to work and try the first sandwich with chicken. It was really gross but i tried a few bites until i realized it tasted like raw meat. UNDERCOOKED CHICKEN?!?! And I was on my way to an 11 hour shift?!
I am sad, but I had 2 sandwiches, one for my boyfriend. It was steak so I wasn't too worried about how long they cooked it for. I ate like 1/4th of it and it didn't taste great but it was food and I was starving. I had to spit out many many chunks that I don't think I could chew. After a while, I was just very sad and gave up on eating.
I just spent almost 2 hours of my working wages on sandwiches and ended up throwing them in the trash. I am pretty frugal, I would never throw edible food away, but it was truly awful.
I just moved to the area next to this Ikes and was so damn excited about treating myself and my boyfriend once or twice a week with what I expected to be amazing. The one in San Francisco (years ago) was seriously the best sandwich I'd ever had.
The food at this Ikes was so disappointing. It legitimately made me so sad. A couple stressful work events happened within an hour, and I ended up crying in the bathroom. It was one of those days, ya know? And it all started with two disgusting sandwiches and being made to wait an extra 25 minutes while being...
Read moreWhen I was searching for “pastrami sandwich”, this place popped up. After reading so e reviews, I thought I’d check it out cuz I was wanting a good sandwich and I haven’t ventured out to see what’s out there yet.
This place is located inside the car wash place, next to Jiffy lube and a shell gas station. The place has some seatings (tables and chairs) and quite casual. Order at the counter and either take it away or eat there. The staff is very nice, friendly and courteous!
With so many choices, I ordered #91, the Paul Reubens on french bread. Let me tell you this: The sandwich came loaded with what the description of it has (minus the pickles) and it is huge. And here is the thing: It was hella DELICOUS!!! OMG, I was blown away by the quality and taste of it!! After taxes, it was just a little over $13 and it was MUCH better than a $20 sandwich I recently had at an Italian restaurant!! The sandwich is very balanced with the amount of meat, purple cole slaw, tomatoes, peppers, french dressing and swiss cheese. Every bite was PERFECT for may taste buds! This is going to be my go to sandwich place from now on and I will eat my way thru the...
Read moreToday was our first time trying Ikes. So sad! My husband, daughter and I were looking forward to trying what seemed to be a great place for us to order sandwiches. Mine, a Steph Curry, was on the gluten free bread. The bread is so hard, leathery, and unedible. The inside was just as bad. There was no bbq sauce, which was suppose to be on it, no provolone, which was suppose to be on it. The turkey was good, but this came with onions and pickles, which were not suppose to be on it. I am sitting here eating an open faced sandwich with a fork, just picking out the turkey meat to eat. My daughters sandwich also had ooions and pickles on it, that weren't suppose to be on it. She can't eat it because she hates pickles and it reeks of pickle. The mozzarella sticks came without dipping sauce. My husband's sandwich came with everything messed up too. He just left to go to Capriotti's to get more sandwiches.. we had hoped to have a night off from cooking because it's so hot today. Now he's out in traffic trying to get our dinner...again. This so called "meal came from the South Durango location. We will never return. What a waste of...
