I’d randomly pass this place living in the South West so I decided to try it. There’s not too many dim sum places around my area so this is a plus. We came on a Sunday and it was pretty packed. We didn’t have a big party so we got seated pretty fast.
Since it was our first time here, we decided to get the go-to common dim sum and that’s when we realized our first mistake. The portion of the dim sum is huge! As a warning, be cautious of the size of the dim sum because it’ll get you full fast for sure. One dim sum is about the portion of 2 at regular spots. This for sure can be a pro/con depending on how you like your dim sum.
If you’re not too familiar with ordering dim sum, I’d say to order anything that says dumpling or siu mai and you’ll be fine. If you wan’t to be more adventurous, I’d suggest Beef Tripe, Deep Fried Taro and Steamed Rice Roll with Shrimp.
At any dim sum spot, I’ll always suggest to use the soy sauce and vinegar (more vinegar than soy sauce). I’d also say add the chili sauce for an additional depth of flavor.
Overall, just remember that the portions are bigger than normal. They usually have your ordered printed out and they cross it as it goes. I’d suggest ordering a few items and noting how many you have left. Then make the assessment after of if you’d want more food or not. Either way, left over Chinese food is always good...
Read moreLocated in a Strip mall off Durango Road and Peace Way. We were seated immediately at 1:30pm. Everything is made to order which I much prefer, as the food comes out hot.
The servers are friendly but some had a bit limited command of English.
What we ordered: 1.) Har Gah $5.98 Shrimp and outer shell was fresh and tasty. 2.) Zhongshan Dumplings $5.98 3.) Baked Egg Tart $5.98 We had to wait for these as they were being baked. Flaky crust and custard had a nice taste. 4.) Pan fried Chive Dumplings $5.98 these had a nice taste especially if you like chives. 5.) Steamed Rice Roll with beef $5.98 they serve the sauce on the side which I prefer so you can pour as much or as little for your desired taste. Again Fresh and tasty. 6.) Sweet Tofu Dessert $3.98 7.) Beef Chow Fun Dry Style with Black Bean Sauce $14.98 this had a very nice taste with a good amount of beef and noodles. 8.) Half Roast Duck (to go) the duck was moist and delicious.
My Girlfriend and I said we would definitely be back. Nice to not have to drive all the way down to Chinatown to get Dim Sum. They only serve Dim Sum until 3pm as they serve traditional Cantonese dishes during...

Five stars for Lucky House! This place is a gem for anyone craving delicious dim sum.
The service was fantastic. Our server was attentive and helpful, explaining the different dishes and making recommendations based on our preferences. They were always there to refill our tea and clear empty plates without being intrusive.
But the real star of the show is the food. The dim sum selection is vast and everything we tried was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The har gow (shrimp dumplings) were plump and delicate, the siu mai (pork dumplings) were savory and juicy, and the char siu bao (barbecued pork buns) were fluffy and bursting with flavor. We also loved the pan-fried rice cakes and the stir-fried greens with garlic sauce - everything was cooked to perfection.
Overall, Lucky House is a fantastic dim sum restaurant. The food is excellent, the service is top-notch, and the atmosphere is perfect for a relaxing and enjoyable meal. I highly recommend...
