I think this is the first time I have been to this location or it has been a very long time. I came in on Saturday Aug 5 at 7pm. The location closer to me had already closed so that is why I came here. The place was very clean and the young lady working was actually cleaning the slicer when I walked in the door. I told her how my son years ago worked for the deli at Smith's and constantly had to clean the slicers.
Anyway , the young lady was very pleasant and attentive to my order. I didn't get her name , but it says on the receipt Saliem . She was very meticulous with making the sandwiches which I found great considering how so many workers these days will just slap your food together even in front of the customer with no care in the world. I wish I would have taken pictures of our sandwiches which I would normally do , but I hadn't eaten all day and was starving , so I just dug in. There was a guy in the back that came out later , so not sure if that was his name on the receipt. When he came out he wasn't too happy and I was glad I had her helping me rather than him.
I have been coming to Port of Subs for years for the cold sandwiches. I go to other sandwich stores for the hot sandwiches. I haven't been to a Subway in years since I think the quality of the meats at Port of Subs are far better and everything is sliced fresh. I tried Jersey Mike's and Firehouse Subs and have never been back to either one. Over the years I have been to at least 7 different locations and never had a problem with any of my sandwiches. The location on West Flamingo and Jones I remember wouldn't take corporate coupons I guess since they were a franchisee they had the option according to the coupons , so I only went there like twice and I think it is now...
Read moreThis place is magnificent. The store is clean and inviting, the food is fresh, and the workers are friendly & competent. I've been here 3 times within the past couple months and each time I've come, it's been better than the last. Just so that the employees get credit for their good work, I’d like to mention that I had 3 different employees and they were all excellent (first was a black lady, second was a black man, and the third was a white dude with tattoos and a beard...the last guy made the best sandwich but both men were exceptional and the first lady was pretty good too). I highly recommend the Hot Steak & Cheese sandwich...it is LIGHTYEARS better than Subway's crappy version. Not only did Subway remove Swiss cheese from their menu, but their employees are usually APATHETIC a-holes and their food is consistently inferior. This place is what every Sub chain should aspire to be. They do an excellent job crafting the sandwiches and making sure they are wrapped-up well and the customer is taken care of. All the locations I've been to (except the one on Jones/215) have been great but I think this one at Flamingo/Hualapai takes the cake. Parking is great too. I'll probably be coming back here at least once or twice per week, I can just about guarantee that. That steak & swiss sandwich with lettuce, tomato, red onion, and chipotle mayo is absolutely TO DIE FOR (I recommend double meat/cheese & extra sauce/tomatoes). Oh ya- Their NUMBER 1 sandwich is excellent as well, and so is the macaroni & potato salad. Everything is great there. I usually order online around 6-8pm and their online ordering system is FLAWLESS as well. A very ideal place to...
Read moreDo yourself a favor and pick a different Port of Subs! Perhaps Durango/Flamingo or Town Center/Charleston. Their staff is horrible, specifically two girls who work the afternoon shift, early 20's. These two are so busy chatting each other up, they do not pay attention, in addition to being extremely unfriendly. We are sorry you don't like your job, perhaps find a new one. When ordering a Turkey, Bacon, Avocado, it was not until one of the girls put the sandwich together did she inform us they had no avocado. Wouldn't that be relevant for that sandwich, but again they were too busy chatting to pay attention and speak up right away. One of the girls put roast beef on the turkey sandwich; again, too busy talking. This store is right next to Albertson's ladies, why are you out of avocados? One girl was so rude and raised her voice to my little boy when asking what he wanted on his sandwich because he wasn't paying attention. Please don't speak to my child like that! Lastly, ordered a cookie, they put it in the bag, so I never felt it. Hard as a brick when we got home. Manager was useless when discussing these things, didn't care, or offer a refund. There may be a new manager at this point.
This used to be a very nice shop with friendly workers who paid attention. We felt welcome, had great sandwiches and goodies.
Not the case anymore, these two girls are no good, they are extremely rude and chatty, and they have no problem selling stale food. We will never go to this location again, and given many Port of Subs are franchises, I suggest this manager consider looking into this. We were weekly regulars;...
