Angara India Spice Grill (Las Vegas, Nev., Nov. 2025) We greatly enjoyed the food and service at this pleasant restaurant in a shopping mall on Grand Canyon Drive, which we found on the list of local restaurant recommendations at the nearby Hampton Inn and Suites. We entered at about 5:30 p.m. and were served quickly. We ordered and exchanged banter with a friendly couple in an adjacent booth while our food was being prepared. My Lentil Soup (Dahl) was delicious and spiced exactly as I requested (Madras hot). My wife’s Muligatawny soup was a little spicy for her, so I brought it home for myself. All our main dishes were delicious and served fairly quickly and hot: Butter Chicken, Aloo Gobi, a stuffed Nan bread, and rice. My wife, who tries to avoid spicy food due to GERD, gobbled down some Butter Chicken. I enjoyed it greatly, despite it not being very spicy, just as we requested. Our waiter (who may have been the owner) checked on us often for water and our satisfaction with the meal. We had plenty of food to bring home for one or two other meals. I wouldn’t hesitate to return to this restaurant if I lived...
Read moreBar none, this wonderful Indian Restaurant is the best and most delicious place here in Las Vegas!! My English Hubby knows quality Indian cuisine as Britain's now favorite is curry..NOT FISH AND CHIPS. LOL! Our first outing in one year, and we only wanted ANGARA for a birthday celebration. All the dishes were out of this world. We ordered a sampler, shrimp tandoori, lamb Tikka, chicken Tikka, veg rice, garlic Naan, and we were stuffed with delight. We love the warm, kind, considerate owner/chef who recognized us after a YEAR!! We will return soon as we so missed this wonderful place. If you have a craving..oh my goodness, come here. You will have the most flavorful and amazing dinner. One of the great assets here is they give you options about the spice..1 thru 10..I am a zero..lol..and hubby is a 10..so, you can order as much or as little heat as you prefer. A great place with excellent prices. Their buffet can open...
Read moreThis is a tough 3-star review to submit, because the owners are so nice and easy to talk to. But the other reviews are correct; the curries and other sauces are under-seasoned. I'd only be guessing that the chefs have a position on this, "that's the way they do it in India". All I can say is, maybe it's time to adapt to the American marketplace. There's a kick to the flavor that was lacking, almost as if the vegetables were more pronounced than the curry powder/turmeric/garlic/salt etc. Also, this restaurant does not provide rice with their dishes. As one reviewer put it, you'll be eating chicken and sauce if you forget to add rice onto your order. To their credit, the proteins were appropriately cooked with great texture. Will not be returning back,...
