My family and I, (my wife, myself, my 3 year old son and my one year old daughter) were given complimentary meals to Stockman's Steakhouse as we were guests of the city. This review won't be about the price since it was comped, but rather on the food quality itself and the service. Upon arriving to the restaurant, the doors were closed at 5 Pm, which is when the restaurant is advertised to open. We assumed the doors just stayed closed to keep the smoke from the casino out of the steakhouse, so we opened them and walked in. The manager quickly shooed us out of the door, explaining that they weren't ready yet. So we waited a few minutes and the doors finally opened. We were welcomed with smiles and how do you do's. After being sat immediately at our seats, we were greeted by our wonderful waiter Anthony. Throughout the course of our stay, he was fantastic and catered to our every need. Upon receiving our soup and salad is when the experience shifted. My daughter had been in great spirits throughout the day and continued that way through dinner. She was in such a good mood, that the manager made it a point several times to quiet our daughter. After returning to the table the third time, the manager made it a point to tell us that she needed to remain quiet or the other guests might complain. Now to set up the picture of the other guests for you. The guests at the table on the other side of the wall from us were wearing graphic t-shirts, shorts, and sandals, and the table across the aisle from us was a table of senior citizens who couldn't hear each other if they were screaming in each other's ears. So to say the least, this wasn't some high end restaurant clientele we were "disturbing." Now the food was a different story. The food was amazing. At least the food that we were allowed to eat was. Upon being scolded for our daughters happy squeals, we were constantly trying to quiet our daughter and no longer had time to enjoy our meal. We had our meals boxed up and left the establishment as soon as we could. So we will enjoy the rest of our meal in the hotel room where our kids can be free to giggle and laugh as they please. To say the least, we will never return to this establishment to spend our...
Read moreBest Steakhouse in Laughlin, and it's not even close. One thing I know a lot about is steakhouses. Between being born in the Midwest, raised by parents who grew up on farms, living all over the South and now Las Vegas since 2004. I know Steaks, and I've been to hundreds of steakhouses.
Not only is this the best steakhouse in Laughlin, but it's in my top 10 steakhouses I've been to. Factoring in Vegas, all of the south like Texas, & Arkansas, all of the Midwest like Kansas, Nebraska, and even fancy spots in Mexico, as well as Hawaii. Stockman's is easily in my top 10.
Food, service, atmosphere, hostess, waitress, all staffing all 5 stars. You 100% get what you pay for here, and that matters. Prices might be a little higher than a few other neighboring steakhouses. But not by much, and you will be happy with everything here. Before you ask while in Laughlin, we had dinner at two other locations. Both were good, but Stockman's was by far the best food and experience.
This is a steakhouse, not a sports bar with steak, and theirs a huge difference between the two. You do not take your wife or loved one to a sports bar for your anniversary. You go to a place to feel like it's just the two of you. Stockman's providing that and more...
Read moreThis place is over priced for the quality of food they serve. The manager Rick was extremely unprofessional in handing the poorly cooked food. After bringing our horrible experience to Rick's attention it took 40 min to get our steaks recooked. (Med Rare) Two of us had to eat so our food did not get cold, while the other 2 watched us eat. This was supposed to be a nice family meal. Expecting an apology, for the awful experience Rick never even apologized and got rude when we brought it to him. He said what do you expect me to do about it? I explained that if he does not want us to write a negative review he needs to make it right whatever he felt that should be. To make matters worse he says that my 1 little negative review of his establishment is not going to affect him. In the end Rick thought that making it right for us was for us to leave the steaks that were finally brought out 40 mins after the first 2 entrees were brought out. We were ready to leave having been here for almost 2 hours without finishing our meals. Still without an apology. Please note that the server Ally was wonderful. Corporate will be hearing about Rick and the way he handled the entire situation. We will not...
