Jayden’s Beef Fried Sausage Dogs — Restaurant in New Bern

First impressions are lasting impressions. And what a great first impression we got! We were greeted at the front entrance by a very nice young man. He opened the door for us and welcomed us to the establishment. The inside is clean and inviting. There is a couch and chair to sit in while you wait for your order. The food is excellent! I had one chicken sausage dog and one turkey sausage dog all the way with their special sauce. The chicken sausage dog is very dense and it has a little "kick" of heat. If you can't do anything spicy, then I highly recommend the turkey sausage dog. The texture was not as dense as the chicken, but the flavor was absolutely wonderful! Everyone was courteous, kind, and professional. You may initially think the prices are a little high, but I promise you, it will be worth every penny. The entire experience was a very positive one. We were drawn to make an impromptu stop and this little shop due to the name, and were not disappointed! We had a sausage dog ATW (all the way) and a hot dog ATW. If your idea of "all the way" is yellow mustard, onion, chili, and slaw, that's not what you'll get, but it will be delicious regardless! The sausage was served with grilled onions and a sauce that was sticky and a bit sweet, and I believe to be a Kansas City style BBQ sauce base. Omg, best hot dogs and sausages hands down! I love that it is family owned and the sausages and got dogs, although fried, aren't greasy at all! The chili seems to be homemade verses being a can of Hormel chili and the buns never break, despite how many toppings you add to thehotdogs.
