If I could give ZERO stars, I would.
Prismatic booster release was today and for the last few weeks the store has always opened at 12pm. We’ve waited in line until the store opens at exactly 12pm. Today, the hours have suddenly changed to 11am so I arrive to stand in line around 10:50am. The store was already opened and the product was sold out and there were known scalpers in line. I asked why they opened before opening time and I was told by Patrick that corporate allows them to open 30 minutes early if there’s a line. So you’re telling me all the other times we’ve stood in long ass lines that they could’ve let us in 30 minutes early? Yeah. So not only was I lied to, I missed the opportunity to actually get products for me and my family to open and engage in the hobby and instead scalpers were able to purchase majority of the products to triple the price on Facebook market place.
Absolutely horrible. And I hope corporate addresses this issue quickly. It’s unfair to those who actually purchase product for the fun of the hobby not to take advantage of people and ruin it for everyone. At this point, card collecting is going to die out for that very reason. And you can blame people like the scalpers and store employees like this for ruining it for future generations to come.
PSA: Don’t purchase items from scalpers and let them depreciate. If people continue purchasing from scalpers at triple the price, no one will ever be able to enjoy the hobby of card collecting. Let them lose all the money they put into screwing people over and force them to get...
Read moreHad the worst experience here but specifically with the manager Jeremy. I purchased a defective disc for $50 at the this new bern location (so beware of that when purchasing games) when I wanted an exchange the manager Jeremy told me that they definitely had the game and would put it on hold at the location in Wake Forest (Capital Pointe). Which was fine because even though it is a 45 minute drive I really wanted this game as it’s retro and hard to find. Flash forward to today, I drive 45 minutes for them to tell me that they don’t actually have the game (even though they told me they did and it was on hold) and blamed it on a theft from old management. Got my refund from Mikayla (who was very nice) but that’s not the point. Don’t promise your customers a game if they are willing to take the time and gas money out of their day. Two hours of combined travel time lost for me and they would not even give me their supervisors name or contact information....
Read moreStaff are extremely rude and unprofessional and don't even know their own policies. Manager Danny and associate Brian were awful and when I asked how to file a complaint and given wrong information, I was told to leave and Danny called the police. Entirely different experience with the store in Havelock where staff were very helpful and pleasant. I think New Bern could definitely benefit from customer service training and Danny has no business being in management. Zero stars if that were an option.
