Our office is closing so to try and cheer folks up I offered to buy lunch and a co worker with a broken foot, hurting badly picked up the order. she order coke, avocado, and shredded cheese on my vegetarian sope. i ordered 3. I ended up with only lettuce, sourcream and powder cheese. i took two bites and thru it away. we have a short lunch. we are all having a hard time and i definitely do not have $ to waste since I will be looking for a new job. The whole office is closing, trying to give good customer service and act happy. my coworker called and said she'd receive a call back. I called and told them that it was the worst customer service. not only should they offer to remake, bring to us they should refund. he said he'd refund and remake but who has time to go out twice. I suggested he mail me the refund. He said he'd call my coworker. Even if he didn't hear "coke" and said i didn't pay for it that is another mistake on their end. I heard her order coke. and why should he call her about it when I was the one that paid and doesn't get to eat. I'll never eat there again. we are already having a hard time and he just made it that much worse. on a regular day maybe it wouldn't have been such a big deal. on a bad day its a big deal, regardless it is poor customer service. I can't eat mexican in the middle of seeing patients. we have a short time span to eat. the food with lettuce sour cream and some powdered cheese is in the trash....
Read moreWARNING!!! DO NOT LET THEM CATER! I hired this place for our wedding reception last Saturday because it was our favorite taco place in New Bern. Their catering coordinator "Martha" had promised delivery, food set up, a way to keep the food hot, and tea/water/juice dispensary for our guests. NONE of this happened! They tried dropping off our order 5 hours early, no way to keep the food hot, no way to dispense beverages, NOT EVEN SERVING SPOONS! We were absolutely embarrassed! I had even stopped by the restaurant the day prior to go over these details! I even spoke to them the day of because they said they didn't know where to deliver! I paid $1000 for a take-out order is basically what happened. This is not catering, and we will never return to this establishment which makes me sad because their food is really good. We wanted to support a local favorite of ours and this was the result. We are very sad about this, and feel absolutely cheated.
Update: I was never messaged, called, or contacted in any way regarding chafing dishes not working. Not even the day before, when I had stopped by. Lying to save a reputation is frowned upon, and doesn't work in a small town. I have found out like many others you respond to, you simply aren't interested in "making it right", only...
Read moreThe customer service here is pitiful. I’ve personally had enough and don’t intend on going back. The food has been inconsistent for a while, too. My wife and I were driving right near Taco Loco and placed an order using Bluetooth. Perfectly good connection and it was obvious that the person taking the order heard us fine and told us our order would be ready in 10 to 15 minutes. We get there very shortly after placing the order and waited in the lobby. They bring out an order for “Bill” not more than 10 minutes after placing the order. The lobby is piling up with people waiting for food, so I just thought they were running behind. After exactly 20 minutes of placing the order, I ask about the status and I was told that the order for “Bill” was actually the order for my wife “Laura.” I asked how they could confuse “Bill” with “Laura” and the young lady answered indifferently that “sometimes it’s noisy and we can’t hear well,” which was totally not the case. I should have asked for them to remake the taco salads because they get soggy quickly and by the time we got home, the salads were not good.
