Ordered two pizzas online, got home with my pizzas, and the orders were wrong. When I got back to the restaurant, I spoke with team leader Gibson, and he argued that the pizza was right even though ingredients were, in fact, missing and clumped together. The other pizza had the missing ingredients on it, so that's "understandable." Sometimes, this can happen. Where I go out of my way to leave this review it is due to the service, Gibson had a terrible attitude and when my pizzas with the right ingredients were going to be placed in the oven Gibson touched my pizzas with his BARE HANDS! So I asked if that was the standard, especially after I had seen him handle money with no type of washing hands in-between. He said yes, so of course, I'll reach out to HR and possibly file an OSHA complaint because the people of new Braunfels deserve better, honestly. It's a shame the owner doesn't pay attention to these reviews, I feel a lot can be learned from the communities' opinions.
Side note, the person who initially greeted me upon walking in very possibly identifies as something else. "I didn't ask pronouns," but this person had a way to short mini skirt on that caught me off guard to where I had to double take at all the male employees and confirm if that's in fact their standard at mod pizza.. Hey, I'm all for everyone's rights to do what they want, but I'm also a firm believer that there is a time and a place for it. This person's attire was atrocious, to say the least, clean it up. You're around food for crying out loud, I've never been to MOD pizza, and I plan to never go back. I'd give a negative 5 stars if it let me, I hope some audits will clean this place of its filth. If I had to describe this location in one word, it would be...
Read moreRecently, we visited this restaurant and had a somewhat unusual experience. Our 10-year-old son was excited about the idea of getting a sticker with the restaurant's logo and putting it on the wall as a souvenir. When he approached the cashier and asked for a sticker, they handed him one with the LGBT flag.
Our son, who is too young to fully grasp the nuances of this flag, felt a bit confused and chose to return it. Politely, he asked the employee if they had one with the company's logo colors instead. However, the employee replied that they only had that design.
We want to make it clear that we respect and support diversity and inclusion, and we teach our son to do the same. However, we also believe that it's important to respect the values and beliefs of each family and allow children the freedom to choose what makes them feel comfortable.
Our son told us that he felt uncomfortable in that situation because he was denied the right to choose a sticker that reflected his own preferences and beliefs. We believe it's important for businesses to be aware of these sensitivities and offer diverse options so that all customers feel included and respected.
Regarding the food and service at the restaurant, it was good overall, but this experience made us reflect on the importance of inclusion and respect for differences in all aspects of everyday life, even in the smallest things...
Read moreI am so disappointed. I really wanted to like this place after hearing multiple people say how great it is so I guess I had high expectations. Unfortunately the pizza was not very good. Like at all. The place itself was very cool, modern, and the people making the pizza were all very friendly. So that's a plus, but I went in to bring a pizza home and that's why I can't give it a good review. Now for the price it can't be beat. It's cool that it's so cheap but then again I feel like you get what you paid for in this case. I got the pizza that had all the meats on it and it smelled good, looked good, but tasted awful. Upon the first bite it was BADLY burnt on one side of the pizza. So bad I couldn't even eat some of it because it was black and so charred. On the other side of the pizza the dough was raw. Where the folded down sides were to make the edge of the pizza didn't cook at all. Like still stretchy kind of raw. Then the cut of the pizza was really not proportional. It was awkward trying to eat the slices. The overall taste with the ingredients was really bland. I haven't not liked a pizza before and this is a first. But to be honest even Papa John's or a chain restaurant has better qualities and ingredients. Such a shame but maybe it was just a bad day and next time...
