Review for Nico’s Pizza in New Britain

I decided to visit Nico’s Pizza after seeing several food influencers rave about it, and overall, my experience was a mix of amazing highs and a few letdowns.

The Great (Highly Recommended): The Bensonhurst pizza was absolutely incredible. It’s a square-style pizza that looks thick, but the dough and crust are surprisingly light. The sauce was full of flavor, and the fresh ingredients really stood out. This one definitely lived up to the hype and a must-try if you visit.

The Long Shot chicken cutlet sandwich was another highlight flavor-wise. The combination of fried prosciutto, burrata cheese, and hot honey was spot-on! Sweet, salty, crispy, and creamy all in one bite. The only downside was the presentation as it looked like the ingredients were just tossed onto the roll. I had to rearrange everything myself just to eat it properly. Still, the taste made up for the look.

The Good (recommend): The loaded fries were very good. Crispy fries topped with melted cheese and ranch. Simple but delicious, and they disappeared fast. Definitely worth adding to your order if you’re in the mood for something indulgent on the side.

It was fine (neutral): The chicken parmigiana was a large portion of chicken cutlet and spaghetti. The flavor was just okay. The sauce was not anything special. I wouldn’t order it again and while I wouldn’t recommend it, I’m sure there are people who may like it.

The Underwhelming (do not order this) Unfortunately, the cheesesteak didn’t meet expectations. It’s been hyped up by a few influencers, but mine fell flat. The roll wasn’t filled with meat, the cheese was barely visible, and overall it just lacked the richness and flavor you’d expect from a good cheesesteak. I wouldn’t recommend this one.

Overall: Nico’s Pizza in New Britain has some standout items worth traveling for, especially the Bensonhurst pizza and the Long Shot sandwich (even if it needs a presentation upgrade). But not everything hits the mark. I’ll definitely be back for the pizza, just not the chicken parm or...

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Slice of Italy at Nico’s Pizza 🌟

If you’re craving authentic Italian-style pizza in New Britain, PA, Nico’s Pizza (416 Town Center) truly delivers. With a stellar 4.9‑star rating from over 200 reviews, it’s clear this local gem hits the mark .

🍕 Grandma Thin Crust Square Pizza — A Must-Try!

Their Grandma Thin Crust Square Pizza is a show-stopper: • Crust: Delightfully thin, crisp on the edges, yet slightly chewy in the interior—just the right texture. • Sauce: Exceptionally authentic. You can taste the heritage and quality—ripe plum tomatoes, fresh herbs, maybe even a drizzle of pesto. It’s “unexplainably” rich yet balanced, bringing that real taste of Italy to the table. • Cheese & Toppings: Generous mozzarella blended with fresh tomato chunks and pesto, finished with roasted garlic—simple, but sensational.

This pie isn’t just delicious—it’s an experience reminiscent of Italian home‑style cooking.

👌 Overall Experience • Atmosphere & Service: Bright, clean setup in a friendly Town Center. Staff and owners are welcoming and attentive . • Menu Breadth: From classic slices to Specialty pizzas (like Sicilian, Margherita, and even Drunken Grandma), plus garlic knots, strombolis, subs, and salads—plenty of variety ✅ Final Verdict

You have to stop here. Start with the Grandma pie—its authentic sauce and thin, crisp crust will transport you straight to an Italian kitchen. Whether dining in, grabbing a quick slice, or ordering for a group, Nico’s is a top-tier choice for pizza and true Italian flavors in the area.

If you’re looking for authentic Italian food in New Britain, PA, Nico’s is the kind of restaurant that reminds you why family recipes will always beat trends. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel welcome, and the menu delivered a lineup of dishes that showcase both tradition and creativity.

We started with the homemade meatballs topped with creamy ricotta – tender, flavorful, and the perfect start to any meal. The Chicken Limoncello sandwich was a standout, with that bright lemon flavor cutting through every bite. The Eggplant Parmigiana served over pasta (a treasured recipe straight from the owner’s grandmother) tasted like Sunday dinner at nonna’s table. Their pasta in vodka sauce was velvety and rich, one of the best versions I’ve had in Bucks County.

Of course, it wouldn’t be Philly-area dining without a cheesesteak, and Nico’s puts a twist on it with Cooper Sharp cheese that takes it to another level. And then there’s the Bensonhurst pizza – perfectly crisp crust, plenty of cheese, and bold flavor that feels like Brooklyn brought to New Britain.

What makes Nico’s so special is the balance: you get classic Italian comfort food alongside creative takes, all made with care and fresh ingredients. Whether you’re in the mood for pizza, pasta, sandwiches, or parm, this spot has something to satisfy.

Nico’s is a must-visit restaurant in New Britain for Italian food lovers. Great for families, date nights, or anyone craving that homemade taste. I’ll definitely be back, and I highly recommend this hidden gem for locals and anyone searching for authentic Italian dining near Doylestown and Bucks County.
