I think this place is extremely overrated to be honest. Yes it really makes you relax and stuff but that’s the only good part in there first of all the workers they seem like they’re having too much fun and I don’t mean this as like a party pooper but like you’re at work for a reason, you have to be focused. You have to take peoples orders cause like what if you really mess up you don’t wanna Karen going in there and say something and the only reason I’m typing this is Because, my order was horrible. They messed up. I’m just speaking the truth and. boba tea tasted horrible. I ordered regular milk regular almond milk and it tasted like the added thousands of cups of sugar and first of all I am on a diet. I don’t want a Boba tea has so much sugar. Yes I ordered regular sugar, but it was because like I wanted a little treat after exercise because I need to get my blood sugar up tasted horrible. It tasted disgusting. I wasted my money on three horrible tea. Each one of them tasted bad and their way ordered and it smell like fish sure, it’s from the sea, but those most like. oldfish and I tried it because I was like no way like there’s no way I wasted my money. I at least have to try it at least at least and I did it taste like old fish tuna fish never going to this place again because I just wanted something nice and now I know never judge a book by its cover and goes the bad way never judge a book by his cover just because something looks nice. Doesn’t mean like it is nice. You might gaslight yourself thinking it’s nice like it taste good but it does it really doesn’t. They could be better also less mention the fact that the logo looks like, the Starbucks logo like a beer be like nobody knows who what your place is like it looks like a knock off version of Starbucks like it’s the dollar tree version. That’s never anything from this...
Read morePotted Milk Tea, 30% sugar, less ice, oat milk, boba, and pudding with crispy chicken (get it on the sombrero cup tray if you want to ball out on some peasants?) and takoyaki. Thank me later.
So we have definitely gone to the Highland Park location before (literally up the road), however this location on College Ave. was a bit closer and saved us from crossing the bridge/river into the chaos known as Edison. Both the College Ave. and Highland Park spots have a well-kept appearance; the College Ave. location is arguably bigger and therefore had a bigger seating area and arrangement.
We decided to give Akihi another go at this location, and were extremely happy with the choices we made this time around. The difference in flavor of the potted milk tea compared to a regular milk tea or oolong milk tea is definitely noticeable. The boba held a perfect consistency - no troubles in this department. The pudding in the potted milk tea was bomb; after having it here, pudding has been on my list of added ingredients to boba drinks with Akihi being the standard.
But the food - chef's kiss. There was a generous heap of bonito flakes on our takoyaki gave it a delightful and tasty touch. Meanwhile, the crispy chicken was flavorful and dare I say - moist.
Great stop for good quality boba and a quick...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of visiting this place and I can't express how impressed I am with every aspect of this place. The bubble tea here is nothing short of exceptional. The quality of the ingredients is evident, it's clear that they take pride in their product. But what truly sets apart is the exceptional service. The staff is not only friendly but also incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. They were more than happy to answer my questions and even offered recommendations based on my preferences. It's rare to find such a level of attentiveness in a casual dining spot.
The ambiance of the restaurant is simply captivating. The decor is modern and stylish, creating a relaxed yet vibrant atmosphere. Whether you're looking for a place to catch up with friends or unwind after a long day, this place is definitely...
