Hidden Grounds Chai & Coffee House is hands down one of the most relaxing and inviting cafés I’ve come across. I visited for the first time on a Sunday while staying nearby, and I can confidently say this won’t be my last visit. The atmosphere is effortlessly cool—think vintage speakeasy meets a mellow Ibiza chill-hop lounge. The music sets the tone perfectly, making it a great spot to unwind, read, or get some work done.
I ordered the Avocado Toast and was blown away. It was so good, I ended up ordering two more just to see if the quality held up—and it absolutely did. I was so impressed, I personally thanked Chef Alfredo for crafting something so simple yet so flavorful. The coffee didn’t disappoint either. I had the Drop Colombian Honey Process black, and it was smooth and aromatic, no extras needed.
Everyone around seemed laid-back and genuinely enjoying the vibe. The place is pet-friendly, which adds to the homey feel. Staff were all incredibly kind and upbeat—little interactions that make a big difference.
You can order via kiosk, barcode, or at the counter. Just note that their app currently only works on iOS. One funny thing: though “gluten-free” is mentioned in their story, the barista told me they don’t actually offer any gluten-free items. When asked the barista said, "Non existent." Hahahahaha!
Still, the charm of the place lies in the details—from handwritten notes to carefully curated wall art. Hidden Grounds really lives up to its name—it’s a hidden gem worth finding. "Peace, Love, Caring &...

This place is much bigger then their counterparts down Easton but the one down Easton has a more homely feel and serves food whole this one only has some cookies. This seems more industrial. With the extra space you would think they would have more seating. The one down Easton did have two seat tables while this one didn't. So to bring a date here, it'll require you to sit at one of the shared tables. That's one of the downsides since they do have enough room for more space. The chairs kinda seemed small and uncomfortable, albeit they looked nice, but hurt my back. A suggestion might be that with the extra space, maybe have some leather sofas like other coffee shops.
Another addition is they sell kombucha! I don't see many places that have that so that's a huge plus since they are open to serve new things such as kombucha and nitro brew!
I spoke with the owner and he seems like a nice guy and he's really knowledgeable about the product he serves. The customer service seems fantastic.
Try it out, you basically get a free cup of coffee if you download the CUPS app and use promo code 5k3p6. Can't...
Read moreI have visited Hidden Ground Coffee shop many times; experiences do vary. That's why one star is missing here. The first order was fantastic; we got two regular sizes of their signature coffee series, very incredible options with varieties. Later, we tried their food as well; bagels are on-point! But after two visits, the taste of the coffee started to change; my girlfriend only sticks to her favorite drink, so she gets the same coffee every time we go. The taste varies by the different barista, and once I got an iced coffee, it turned out to be warm and watery. A very recent visit is today, we got two coffee for the same regular size, but the plastic cups are shrunk in size. I thought it was the standard size the entire time, but I guess not since there is no explanation why the cups now are baby size with no price change.
BUT, their coffee is delicious if the taste does not change when the person who is making it changes. Keeping the food taste consistent is essential for a good customer experience at a coffee place.
Overall, an excellent place to visit for sure, good...
