Very unpleasant staff. I was overcharged for coffee and after I realized it the server ( Mariah) told me that she cannot cancel the order ans refund me because she did not know how to do it..... and that there was no one to do it So I was fir Ed to drink a nothing special about a 6:09$ coffee. I then told her that was fine and I will take the coffee with two brown sugar. She said “ yes” After I asked where the brown sugar was she pointed with her hand to an area at the bar which has no brown sugar. So I came back to her and kindly asked her for the third time. She replied” it’s what ever on the bar I do not know if we have brown sugar or not” A 6:09$ coffee ladies and gentleman literally cold and a very rude and unhappy person sending you to hell. If you like paying this price and being disrespected then yeah the place looks nice. I just moved to nola and the neighborhood. A huge coffee amateur and I will make sure no one I know will come to your place

I visited this café attracted by its beautiful atmosphere and impressive décor. I only ordered a simple espresso and a brownie for my wife—just a coffee and a sweet treat. The place had only two tables occupied: myself and another couple. Even with the café almost empty, the service was extremely inattentive. The server forgot to bring my coffee and served the brownie cold, despite our request for it to be heated. When we asked again, it took another five minutes, and she still forgot the coffee. The service was simply unacceptable—careless and disappointing in every way. The coffee was just average, the brownie also no more than average, but the poor service ruined the entire experience.

The photos listed by the owner on Yelp and on Instagram advertise real plates and cups... who wants to pay $20 for breakfast to drink out of a paper cup and eat a cold bagel out of Saran Wrap?? Why are you advertising food and drinks on dishes when they aren’t available? It looks beautiful until you arrive and then you realize it’s false advertisement.

I was given a bagel, sans plate, with no knife for the cream cheese. I politely asked for a knife and was informed they did not have knives, there are plastic (flimsy) spoons to spread your cream cheese with. And hope you don’t mind making messes, because there are no plates available, so your bagel crumbs are all over the place. In the photos published by the owner on Yelp, it shows a toasted bagel on an actual plate. My bagel was not toasted, nor served on a plate.

This place is cute but overall it was a very disappointing experience. I don’t think there is any excuse (despite laziness) for not providing proper plates and silverware for customers who would like to enjoy coffee and food in the shop. If you aren’t requiring masks (thank you), then why are we not allowed to have a plate and a butter knife? This default “to-go” experience that many coffee shops have adopted these days is a shame. A morning out to enjoy a coffee and pastry should not turn into a frustrating experience due to being spared basic...

Jason is super great vibes and is preserving the spirit of the original Stumptown. I come here whenever I'm in the area. The only issue with this cafe is, every single time I come here workers are pushing metal carts through the back hallways and on the brick floor it is INCREDIBLY LOUD AND AGITATING. It is unclear what they're always doing. Has it ever occurred to you guys to put down a runner carpet to stop the wheels from brutally clattering and destroying the vibe in the entire hotel? Or do you want it that way? This kind of activity is doing a violence against your own customers and is basically saying you're rather attack us than create a cool environment, which probably explains why this place ends up changing hands so much. Nobody is aware at all and the executives think it's a mystery why people don't hang out here. It's because of the BRUTAL energy attacks against us by these stupid metal carts, a problem which is very...
