Update: it has now been 8 months, and I see Paris Parker has responded to other reviews, but I have never received a response nor a call back from the manager, as promised. I definitely will never use this salon again, and now go to Keith Noonan.
I had my make-up done here for my birthday party this past Saturday, Dec. 16 by Chloe. I asked to look like a movie star. Instead I looked like a pale, powdery ghost. I have extremely dry skin, first thing I told her, and arrived with my facial oil and Bye Bye Redness on. First thing Chloe did was wipe my face down with an alcohol astringent!! My skin could not recover from that! She said she had products that would take care of it, but at the end my face was so dry and covered in POWDER I had to beg her to put moisturizer on top (which burned). She did not put eyeliner on (and I'm not kidding), no mascara (telling me to put it on myself since I am sensitive to most mascaras, but I offered to get mine from the car, she said no, do it myself), no contouring, no bronzer, no blush, no shimmer on my eyelids, hot pink lipliner and lipstick (she knew my dresses were dark red/cranberry), and a beige powder on my very blonde eyebrows. I asked her to correct these things, she made 3 attempts to put eyeliner on, first 2 being brown eyeshadow until I finally said black pencil and she drew a small dash on upper lid, nothing dramatic like I asked for! She dabbed a little more beige powder on my eyebrows, they absolutely looked terrible and did not match! I am very disappointed, and the salon manager Cameron was supposed to contact me and I've now been waiting 3 days and nothing. But I can't go back in time and change the photos from my party. I left with the intention of just correcting everything myself, but never had time!! It wasn't until an hour into my party I remembered I was supposed to put on my own mascara. Once again, very disappointed. DO NOT go to Paris Parker for make-up!! First photo was taken a few minutes into my party, there is NO color on my face; other photos are the next day after spending 10 minutes doing my own make-up for lunch. Truly regret going there and now cringe when I see my birthday photos!
Update: it has now been a month, and still no word from the manager, nor anyone else at Paris Parker. I get highlights and cuts there, but guess they have now lost my business and I will cancel future...
Read moreI visited Paris Parker carondelete expecting a simple haircut, but what happened was truly shocking and deeply upsetting. I specifically asked for long layers, face-framing, and for my length to be cut just below my chest. My hair was long, reaching just above my butt, and I was very clear about the length I wanted to keep.
However, before even starting the actual haircut, the stylist tied my hair in a rubber band and cut off a huge chunk, immediately bringing my hair up to my shoulders—way shorter than I ever asked for. I was in complete shock, but the damage was already done. Instead of the soft, layered cut I asked for, I was left with a blunt, unflattering cut with no layers, no face framing, and nothing close to what I requested.
I feel completely devastated. I have an important interview coming up, and my confidence is shattered. How can a professional stylist be this careless and insensitive? People come to a salon to feel better about themselves, not to leave in tears like I did.
This was far from what I asked for. I truly hope this salon trains their staff to listen to their clients properly so that no one else has to go through this.
**My reply for the owner reply" I am extremely disappointed with the haircut I received at your salon. I clearly stated that I wanted my hair cut below my breast, but the stylist cut it to shoulder length instead. This was not a miscommunication—it was deliberate.
My hair was extremely long, reaching all the way down my back, close to my waist, but the stylist gathered all of it, secured it with a hairband, and cut it all off at once, reducing it to shoulder length. I had no chance to stop him or correct the length. Now, my hair is far shorter than I wanted, and I feel ugly and self-conscious without the hair length I once had.
I do not want this to be dismissed as a "miscommunication." If a mistake was made, it should be acknowledged. It is unfair and unacceptable to take such liberties with a client’s hair.
This experience has left me deeply upset, and I am disappointed that your salon is not taking responsibility for...
Read moreThis was the absolute WORST experience I have ever had at a salon in my life. Please heed the negative reviews on Google before booking a service here. I had to go out of town for the holidays and was in need of color and and a haircut/style. When I first walked into the salon the energy was drab and not welcoming in the least bit. I was told to sit and wait for Stephanie my color stylist. She wasn't very friendly or professional. I booked with her because she did have good reviews; however, my hair color came out BLACK and I am extremely fair skinned. It looked so bad I just wanted to cry. After I left the salon I had such a bad headache. Come to find out from the salon I went to the next day (yes I had to go to another salon to fix the botched job) I was told there was so much color left in my scalp no wonder I had such a horrible headache. Not only did I have a bad experience with Stephanie but Chloe, my so called hair stylist was terrible. She completely butchered my hair and I'm not exaggerating. She chopped my bangs up so bad and then just cut my ends straight across. She was also rude and didn't even talk! Such an uncomfortable experience to say the least. When I went to check out both Stephanie and Chloe sat in the back room and didn't even walk me to the front. When I checked out I paid $316 which included a tip. I was also charged for a haircut when all I had was a trim and she didn't even give me a proper blowout. Horrible horrible horrible! The next day I got in at Mariposa Hair Salon on Magazine with Jewels and I couldn't be happier. She gave me dimension in my hair to combat the black I had got the day before and tried her best to fixed my butchered hair from Chloe. All in all I paid $500 in 2 days for my hair! The worst!! If I would have know I didn't have to pay for a service I wasn't happy with I wouldn't have. All this right before Christmas and going out of town for 2 weeks! I cannot stress enough FIND ANOTHER SALON,...
