We visited the John Scott Center last Friday and had an AMAZING visit! His life and art are so interesting. I loved how he would weave a topic / thread through various mediums and pieces of work. The Diddley Bow. Issues with food and access. The center itself is really beautifully set up & they host private events & talks. Well worth a visit!

I really enjoyed my time at the John Scott Center. It was a great way to learn more about the local history through John Scott's work AND great to see such a broad range of paintings, printmaking, and sculpture. Christina, the host who greeted us, gave us more guidance and additional recommendations. Will definitely recommend!

We were walking around and found this gallery. I love art and we decided to go. Great experience, beautiful art. Will be recommending!! The pieces were powerful and gave me perspective on a subject I've not delved into at length. I appreciate the work and conviction through the exhibit.

John Scott was broadly talented. It was noted that he had "spherical thinking" like jazz artists and that was a helpful lens to view his art in its many layers, metaphorically and physically. The docent/artist was generous with her explanations of Scott's work. Her admiration for his work and his relationship to the community was deeply felt. Her colleague was welcoming too and we're delighted we stopped in by chance. One of those special moments where life feels like it's...
