Just arrived in New Orleans around 9:30 AM for my Carnival Cruise and decided to grab breakfast at CafĂ© Beignet Sheraton, conveniently located near the Marriott on Canal Street. The line stretched well outside the door a sure sign of popularity and high traffic among tourists and locals alike. While ordering, I was warned by the cashier that all foods are cooked on shared grills, meaning there’s cross-contact with shellfish and tree nuts. This is extremely important for anyone with food allergies. It’s concerning that the restaurant operates this way without visible warnings or signage something health inspectors should address for guest safety. Despite the allergy concerns, we decided to dine in and were pleasantly surprised by the flavor and portion sizes. Our order included: Western Omelette $13.49 Generous serving of eggs with ham, bell pepper, onion, and cheese. Served with grits and French bread. Nicely seasoned and hearty. Red Beans and Rice $12.49 Classic New Orleans flavor creamy, smoky, and satisfying. Grits $3.99 Smooth and buttery, paired well with the omelette. Beignets (3 per order) $4.75 Light, golden, and covered in powdered sugar a must-try indulgence. Small Coffee– $4.04 Balanced roast, great aroma, but slightly overpriced. Bottled Water (2)– $6.50 Total: $50.13 (including $4.87 tax) The atmosphere is lively but crowded. Seating is tight, and food is served in disposable bowls and utensils, which takes away a bit from the authentic New Orleans cafĂ© experience. However, the outdoor patio area offers a charming setting with music and people-watching opportunities, perfect for soaking in the French Quarter vibe. CafĂ© Beignet delivers solid southern comfort food with great taste and fair portion sizes, but the cross-contamination risk for those with allergies is a serious drawback that should be disclosed more transparently. Prices are tourist-level, but the food quality holds up well for a quick breakfast spot in downtown New Orleans.

We stopped to eat here on our way out of New Orleans. It was our first time visiting, and this place was super cute and had the New Orleans vibe going. A self playing piano with great jazz music filled the room entertaining us guests. The food we ordered was better than expected for a deli/cafe style dining place (you have to stand in a long line and order your food). Most everything they serve with meat is pork or some type of seafood. For people like us who do not eat anything with pork (not keen on seafood), it can be a little frustrating. We tried to request that the pork on an omelet be replaced with the turkey meat they use on their sandwiches, but they were unable to make that accommodation, so that was disappointing. Though they were unwilling or "unable" to accommodate us in that way, the service was good; everyone was nice and polite. The seating was a bit tight and uncomfortable because it was packed and tables were small, so we barely had space for 4 meal orders, to the point the lady who brought our food out made a comment about it, "love it when we run out of room". Their beignets were ok (but this is just a personal preference). They are more on the cakey side, where the dough is more dense, but they do serve them with the chocolate dipping sauce, though we ordered ours to go and our sauce was missing. (Cafe Du Monde's beignets were better, in my opinion, but they don't serve the chocolate dipping sauce.) Cafe Beignets grits were delicious, the best grits I've ever had, they were creamy, fluffy and flavorful. They were so good we took a to-go order! Overall, this place was a great pit stop for brunch, and we did enjoy the quaint vibe.

While visiting NOLA, we decided to have breakfast at Cafe Beignet one morning. Originally, we went to the one on Bourbon St. but it had rained and there was only outdoor seating at that location, so we decided to go to the one on Canal St. It's a cute restaurant on the main street. The cashiers were super friendly. There was a decently long line, but it went by fast. Our food came out to our table less than 10mins after we sat down. Everyone enjoyed their food. I ordered the cajun hashbrowns and they were really good, I'd eat them again! The beignets, however, were very disappointing. It was my first time trying them and they were VERY thick/doughy and had no flavor. I'd recommend Morning Call Coffee Stand if you want some really good beignets. Other than the beignets not being good, everything was nice. The only thing that I didn't like too much was that the tables are small and round and so are the chairs. Being that I have thick thighs, those chairs were uncomfortable lol. And since there was a group of 6 of us it was hard for us all to fit in one spot with the small tables. I really liked the self-playing piano, that was cool. I would recommend this place, just not the beignets.

Enjoyed stumbling upon this location of cafe beignet(s) after walking from surzees. Mybpartner and I had been to the one I believe on decauter by the boats it was actually our 1st beignets in Nola, the price was right and EVERYONE was ordering them,I was not impressed when we ordered them, said we wouldn't go back BUT we saw this one walking and the music was pleasant coming out of it doors it was the vibe that made be say wait let's go in this one. We went in, and the cute little lights were highlighted, nice jazz coming from the overflow sitting area it was a nice atmosphere. We went up to the display they had Mardi gras, caramel pecan and regular beignets on display. I was super happy! We purchased 1 order of each! Fresh, hot and cute we enjoyed them there ,a conversation with the music(not too loud but a soundtrack to your conversation if that makes sense) and the ambiance became romantic people coming and going the music, the little seats very much so took pleasure in this stop on our trip. Lots of young staff behind the counter they seemed to be having fun kidding and laughing still taking orders and getting (at least my order right), The staff were nice, security at the door was pleasant. I would visit this location again. I am not sure if all the locations with this name are related ,menus seem equal and pricing also. I think I might have only liked these beignets better because they were garnished...
