On Sept 6,2025 I’m Made a reservation for 8 people at the New Orleans location. We arrived on time and seated within 15 minutes. Upon being seated our server introduce himself. And said I am one of the servers tonight. His name was Jason. He then asked for drink orders and if this was our first time 4 of the party said it was there first time. But it was not my first time. I explained to my aunt who was seated next to me. Not to do that because if you say it’s your first times they will bring you out all the low end meat. So Jason says we could start at the salad bar. Nobody was interested in that he came back 15 minutes later with some water and sodas. He said oh y’all don’t want no salad. I told him no thank you we can start dinner. During that time I went to the front and request to purchase some gift cards for the meal. The hostess was unsure if I could purchase them and I had to wait and see. They manage on duty that night didn’t know either and have to make a phone call. So I waited at the front after about 7-8 minutes he returned and said I could. So I purchase 300$ in gift cards. Side note: I wanted the points from the charge so I split the purchase up. When I return to the table the side dishes were there and everybody was eating. About 15 minutes later the manager brings me my credit card and the gift cards. My aunt wanted some wine, but I could find a sweet red on the menu. Jason suggested that they have a red sangria. It was priced at 30$ I said ok. He later comes back at said it’s 39.99$. Again I say ok. Our party is loving the experience. I try a few pieces of meat but I was waiting for beef ribs. Rib eye and lamb chops. Next thing I know it’s been 30 minutes no Jason. And the meat servers are bringing out all the better cuts of meat to the order customers. I signal the guy with rib eye and he ignores me. Ok. 20 more minutes pass and I am still waiting. My aunt ask did I cancel the sangria. I say no I’m waiting. But now a hour and half has passed. No sangria. NoJason . I see lamb chops. I wave down the guy he had 3 lamb chops. I ask for one . He looks at me and I motion for a lamb chop. He slowly gives it to me. My husband and son both want one. So I ask for the other two. The server starts huffing and puffing. Turns up his face. And throws them on my plate. At this point. I am 😳 shocked. I pass out the lamb chops. Jason returns and says he can’t find a pitcher for the sangria. 45 minutes later. So I calmly ask for a manager. The manager arrives 15 minutes later. We still hungry because all our table was served was scraps. I explained to the manager that I server had given up on service on our table we haven’t seen him in over thirty minutes. The meat serves have not come out of the kitchen in over 15 minutes. Mind you the restaurant was packed. Who eating cause service was at a stand still. We never got our sangria that was suggested. The meat server are giving attitude about the meat like it’s coming out of his check. After serving straight dog scraps. The sides dishes are ice cold and the plates are empty and dirty plates have piled up at our table and nobody has remove them. Like the other guests nearby. Clean tables and fresh utensils Now I’m wondering what’s going on. The manager said let me fix this. It’s my husband and uncle’s birthday. We were out celebrating. So now 2 and half hours into dinner. They find a pitcher for the sangria, Jason pops back up and clears the dirty dishes and brings some fresh sides. Beef’s ribs are available. Rib eye is available. Lamb chops are available. The meat all tastes like lighter fluid. How? I waited for this. Drinks are refreshed. The manager informs me that the meat guy doesn’t have a attitude he doesn’t speak English (how did he do the interview), Jason was looking behind the bar for the pitcher and the restaurant only had seven of them and then all was in use. EXCUSES they offer 2 desserts for the birthday guys and 100$ off family and friends. My bill. I would rather have paid full price and enjoy my...
Read moreMy recent visits to Fogo de Chão have unfortunately been marred by significant service inconsistencies and a general lack of professionalism, which is particularly disheartening for a restaurant of this caliber.During my first visit, the experience began on a sour note when the individual at the front desk (a Asian women) made an unnecessary fuss about our lack of a reservation, despite the restaurant not appearing overtly busy. This initial encounter set a rather unwelcoming tone.My second visit, intended to give the restaurant another chance, regrettably offered more of the same. The front desk lady, whom I believe was Hispanic, greeted with an extremely judgmental and unwelcoming attitude, lacking the basic warmth one expects from hospitality staff. The issues continued with the food service itself. On both occasions, members of the staff walking around with meat demonstrated poor communication skills, struggling with English and basic interaction. More concerning, however, was the repeated incident of steak being dropped on me while being served—this happened twice. One particular instance felt almost deliberate, and surprisingly, there was no apology offered by the staff member involved. Our specific server on the first visit, an African American girl, exhibited a notably poor attitude. She seemed unfamiliar with the menu items, specifically mistaking plantains for potatoes, and became argumentative and made faces when corrected. Such behavior is simply unacceptable in any service environment. The sole redeeming factor throughout these experiences was one gentleman, a slightly older manager, who consistently demonstrated excellent customer service. He was the only individual who seemed to genuinely understand and prioritize customer satisfaction, frequently checking on us to ensure we were taken care of. His professionalism stood in stark contrast to the rest of the staff we encountered. It is truly sad to witness such a pervasive lack of customer service at a renowned establishment like Fogo de Chão, especially when considering the premium price point. The overall experience was far from what one would expect, and the inconsistencies in staff training and attitude are a...
Read moreMy husband and I visited last night (01/04/2023) for our anniversary. We drove over an hour from Mississippi because we were beyond excited to try Fogo for the first time. We were greeted at the door by a lovely young lady that seated us immediately. Our server was -okay- at most, I guess I have higher expectations for "fine dining". He didn't seem to be aware of the menu and the offerings of the buffet. Not a huge problem though. We decided to take the Churrasco Experience. The first cut of meat offered was absolutely delicious-perfectly cooked, lamb. The second offering was fraldinha, it was terribly tough, then followed by filet mignon. The gentleman cut into the filet and it reeked of RANCID meat. I begin to gag, the table next to me made comments of this rotten meat smell. I immediately was sick/nauseas. The room was filled with this smell. The hostess came from behind the stand, laughing and being extremely loud that the meat smelled so bad. The manager made several comments that it was bad. But did not correct the actions of the multiple wait staff commenting and laughing of this incident. The worst part was that they continued to serve this meat! We let our waiter know that this meat was bad and he said "sorry". We asked for the manager to visit our table, when he did; he smelled the meat closely, twice. Then, let us know that it "did smell a little strange". We asked for our plates to be removed. He did offer to grab us another to which we told him not to worry, we can grab them ourselves. I was unable to eat anything else after this. The restaurant smelled strongly of this rancid beef. The manager let us know that it would be taken off the offerings and tossed. However, once I got my appetite back after 20 minutes or so, the same gentleman came around serving the same piece of rancid meat! Me and my husband up and left. The manager did not offer to comp anything but to give us a free desert....... We paid and left. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Save your money. This was not only a terrible experience from start to finish, the terrible experience went home with me and my husband. We were sick all night from being served...
