Disgusting customer service , I was waiting at the bar for 20 minutes and the bartender finally gets to us just to tell us we were at the wrong end where it wasnโ€™t a service area and we had to move and wait again. My problem was he seen us there the whole time , looked at us multiple times and didnโ€™t tell us before hand . So then we wait again and we were ordering two drink and waters but we asked first for the waters and before we can ask for the drinks he refused to service us saying he had too many cocktails to make to give us water and that we needed to leave the bar! First off you have no idea how to work in the hospitality industry with that disgusting attitude and second , by law you can not refuse to serve someone water at a bar . If anything were to happen to us they would have been liable. I got upset and called him a name and they were more worried about that then correcting him. Of course I was upset I was dehydrated and just wanted some water and was refused and spoken to so rudely and told to leave the bar area all cause I asked for water. Finally a second manager comes ( the first one with long hair was atrocious trying to stand up for the bartender) and he apologized and said the bartender was wrong and heโ€™d speak to him. Another bartender did give me the waters before the managers came but I was just upset at the way we were spoken to and refused service that I still wanted to speak with a manager. If he canโ€™t handle the pace that being a bartender requires then he...

Worst experience ever! Emailed weeks in advance to make a reservation for my group and communication was really bad- I should have known from the beginning not to waste my time! They never emailed me back confirming the reservation so Iโ€™m glad my friend reached out as well. She got us a reservation for our group of 10. We showed up on time on the day of the reservation and stood and waited for 30 minutes past the reservation being told there was no room for our group. When we finally got in, they split us to two separate tables across the room from each other. Thatโ€™s just the beginning. The server was AWFUL. She had an attitude the whole time slamming cups down on our tables inches from our fingers and scolded my friend for going to the other room to watch the band. I was wearing a crown and sash and money on my shirt for my birthday and she didnโ€™t once wish me a happy birthday or try to make our time on a special day more enjoyable. The only time she tried to be nice was when the bills came and we were about to tip. On the way out, the man at the door told us to have a good night but couldnโ€™t bother to look up from his scrolling on Facebook to do so. This was an awful experience at a place we were all super excited to go to. Really disappointed with the unprofessional team of people...

This is the place to go when you want something that feels special and classy and unique. The atmosphere is perfect - lightning, curtains, vaudeville flourishes, all really come together well to set the mood. The live music is just the right kind of vibe and volume too. Lots of classic cocktails that are done well and with care. And like others have said, its out-of-the-way nature keeps the big crowds out and really keeps it peaceful and relaxing.

There was one disappointment, though. One of the unique features that makes this place special is the ability to sit in a private booth, draw the curtains, and flip a switch that turns on a red light when youโ€™re ready for a drink. We tried this several times and were ignored entirely. It was so weird that I stepped out to make sure that the light was visible and sure enough it was. Staff simply didnโ€™t respond for reasons I donโ€™t understand. That was the only...

Double Dealer is an absolute speakeasy gem in New Orleans. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with warm hospitality and a vibrant atmosphere that captures the spirit of the city. The cocktails here are a work of art, and what truly sets this place apart is the live jazz band. The talented musicians create an enchanting ambiance that's perfect for a night out with friends or a romantic evening. Their music adds an extra layer of magic to the experience, making it a true New Orleans gem. The blend of classic New Orleans charm with modern style in the decor and ambiance creates a unique and unforgettable experience. Whether you're a local or a visitor, Double Dealer is a must-visit spot that will leave you eagerly planning your next visit. ๐ŸŽท๐Ÿน๐ŸŒŸ

My wife and I visited Double Dealer shortly after opening on a Friday night. The atmosphere is unlike any place we have ever been. Such a cool place! To start, it is under the Orpheum theater. There are booths surrounding the bar which have curtains you can close for privacy. Additionally, there are buttons in the booths that alert your waiter/waitress on when you need to place an order. Some booths they can serve you directly from the bar through a drink opening. So cool! Highly recommend!

The Double Dealer is sort of a speakeasy combined with a really cool bar. It keeps a low profile and I find even a lot of New Orleans locals do not know about it. Itโ€™s located across from the Roosevelt Hotel and under the Orpheum Theater. A good bar with knowledgeable mixologists and great cocktails. Later in the evening they have very good live entertainment. Only open Friday and Saturday nights, itโ€™s best to plan ahead but definitely worth a visit.
