Luzianne Cafe was an absolute treasure. The cafe is filled with so much natural light with space to move around and enjoy yourself, it’s not often to see that down in the quarters. The cafe is so clean and airy and the staff is absolutely amazing. The owner of the hotel is a gem. He is super personable with all of the customers. My sisters and I visited his cafe for the first time on Friday, 6/5/24 (only to return on Sunday and get the waffle again) and we talked with each other for at least 30 minutes to find out he is from Mississippi. We also found out not only does he have a cafe but an Air BnB as well. So good to know for future visits. The food was phenomenal, the waffle melts in your mouth (true perfection) and the grits are creamy with incredible flavor. This place is amazing with affordable prices, an incredible atmosphere, and a fantastic staff. When you’re visiting NOLA be sure to check out Luzianne Cafe. Luzianne thank you for a...
Read moreWent based on prior reviews. I had an idea of what I wanted from the online menu, however as I was studying the menu board the owner came over telling me about the days specials. Fried chicken thigh, red beans and rice which is something I would not typically order. However, they were out of the po boy that I wanted so I figured try something out of my comfort zone and went with the special. The chicken was hot juicy with nice crisp fry to it. The red beans and rice were cooked perfectly. The iced spiced coffee that I got was very good and refreshing. The staff was very nice and the owner went around from table to table making sure everyone was enjoying their meals. The atmosphere was fantastic and very clean. I'm not taking anything away from them due to stock or delivery issues that resulted in the unavailability due to the lingering. In all, I was very happy with my meal and would...
Read moreBeen here twice for breakfast and once for lunch so far...breakfast here is good, no complaints. Made the mistake of coming back for lunch. We ordered a chicken sandwich and a cheeseburger and that's literally all you get on the plate- a lonely little sandwich or burger in the middle of a big plate. No fries, no nothing...we were still hungry when we left, after dropping upwards of $35 for lunch. Only drink is their in-house iced tea brand, so if you don't like iced tea, you're out of luck. This is not a local mom and pop place, it's a restaurant owned by a food corporation where they probably have an accountant peeking into the kitchen and monitoring how much food goes on each plate. But in New Orleans, where there are great restaurants on every corner, why would you send your customers off feeing hungry and disappointed? I guess they feel like most of their customers will be tourists so who...
