The District Lounge — Restaurant in New Orleans

I went to the Bar and asked for three drinks for me and my aunt and uncle. I asked for a margarita with mezcal and asked if he could not make it too sweet. He replied, the bartender “ you get what you get, “ I asked what does that mean he said that I’m not about to sit here and make a fancy drink. I simply said if you can’t do make it , that’s ok, he then replied “that’s what I’m telling you “. I was like you don’t have to be rude about it and he continued to give attitude. Gave me my aunts drink in a cracked plastic cup because he slammed them hard and the alcohol was coming out of the side. I have no intentions of returning and if the owner of this establishment feels comfortable with him at the helm then I won’t be surprised if the service continues to deteriorate. We had a great time there until I paid my bill… bartender asked me for a card to hold the tab openCm, I said sure, but I want to pay cash at the end, she said no problem! -night goes on, I ask for the bill, she brings me my slip to sign (she ran the card after I asked her not to). I asked her to cancel it, so I could pay cash. Bill on debit card was $118.00, bill paying cash was $113.00…. I left the bartender a $25.00 tip on the $113.00 cash I paid. Welp… weeks later and they still haven't credited my debit card. I’ve called 2x and they lied to me saying they fixed it. The bartend scored the extra $118.00 bec her drawer had to be over at the end of the night. She wasn’t great and didn’t deserve the extra tip to begin with, but I’m generous. I am pissed I am out the $118.00 but guess they needed it...

The energy and vibe is terrible...even during superbowl weekend. The age group and climate seemed appropriate for us and the place was packed yet we waited over 20 minutes for service from both bartenders until finally we waved her down. We had to wave her down twice. Coming from a place that gave us a good vibe, it was definitely an unfortunate circumstance. The female bartender finally came and asked for order, then after we closed out w her, the male bartender asked my boyfriend if we were "sure" if we were good. Lucky for his coworker, we still gave her a good tip.

By that time, unknownst to him, we closed out. Cant say that ive ever had a place check in with me twice before we left to make sure we paid our tab. Wish this bar understood our vibe like the others did tonight. POC bar goers:...
