Just leaving the store with my Mom and she found 3 pairs of shoes that she wanted to purchase. 1st pair was priced at 89.90 the second at 27.90 and the third at 0.1 also wanted to purchase finger nail polish at 7.98 and two Kiehl's lotion at 24.95 a bottle. I get to the register to purchase all items and the 0.1 pair of shoes came back with an issue. The young lady said nothing to me but called someone on the radio assuming a Manager. Once 5 minutes passed, I asked is there a problem and she said the shoes are not thee right price. I informed her that the shoes was priced for 0.1 and clearly you could tell that a worker added that sticker because it was hard for it to come off..... After some time was waisted a Manager named Destiny was on the very next register and told me that the shoe was not 0.1 but 47.00, as I explained to the first young lady the price was there and that is what I should pay....Ms. Destiny the Manager informed me that she would not be selling me the shoe that clearly a worker scanned the 0.1 and I need to pay full price. I informed her that she needed to call someone over her to explain to me why I was not paying the 0.1 that was on the shoe. I spend a lot of money at this Norstrom Rack and the Norsstroms when I am out of town and never had a problem. Destiny told me she would be back and that she was going to get someone or call....when in fact 10 minutes later after I cancelled my purchase she returned holding up more customers but by than I decided nothing from this store and to find out that she didn't call anyone over her.... This is a shame and I will not shop at this store anymore...... Awful customer...
Read moreLocals beware, they removed the parking validation kiosks from the inside of the facility. THE SIGNAGE STILL DIRECTS CUSTOMERS TO INTERIOR KIOSKS, BUT THEY ARE NO LONGER THERE OR UNSTAFFED.
There used to be one at the entrance by the Wilson Leather, which is where I've always entered after parking there. They removed the one at the entrance facing the Canal St ferry landing. The kiosk in the food court is still there, but it is empty.
So, if you're not prepared, you're going to spend an extra 20 minutes walking around looking to validate parking. If you're just dropping in to buy a couple things, as I did, you're going to go over the hour. You're also likely to get frustrated and just leave, paying the full rate.
The only staffed validation booth is the entrance by the convention center, which is odd considering that is the pedestrian entrance where tourists attending events or getting ready to board a cruise ship (like today) are going to enter.
This isn't odd if you consider it is designed to make validation as difficult as possible, in the hopes that people will just get frustrated and leave and have to pay the full rate. When I asked the attendant what was up, all she said is that "we're trying something new."
Businesses in New Orleans are supposed to take care of the locals and fleece the tourists. This practice makes a mockery of that time honored tradition. I'm not coming back again until I'm in the market for some buy one, get one half off...
Read more2 stars bc of terrible signage concerning wheelchair access from Canal Place & aquarium area, or Hilton. A nightmare trying to access Riverwalk. Stair-only entrances had no pointers for wheelchairs. Had to cross back and forth 4× across many sets of trolley tracks trying to access, as well as navigate the illegal rutted sidewalk outside ferry terminal. Thank you, strangers, for your concern. The secret from the Hilton is to get to the airy Starbucks by the ballrooms, go behind it to another elevator set, sign says Riverside (also called Bldg. 2) BUT, secret is, only the elevator on the right takes you down/has the rear door that opens. No sign for this! Once inside the Riverwalk, there are elevators you have to use to continue along the mall because there are stairs. An elevator inside had a sign "lower level ADA parking." So I went down, and found the parking and access I could have used IF DRIVING to riverside mall. I surmised, once back in my car, that it is reached somewhere around back, perhaps through that parking lot area by the end--food court/Nordstrom rack. Somewhere. Kind of used up a lot of our day and detracted from fun and relaxation. But, at least inside Riverwalk there was vegan double chocolate Haagendaz w/a...
