I said it in the establishment and im going to say it again. Yall need to have more than 1 person working especially when it's lunch rush. You are too well know in the area to leave staff without support. I spent my whole 1hr break waiting for food here today, while your poor employee was stretched thin. The guy did GREAT with what he was given. And my observation is I don't think he's comfortable asking for help from the owner. The owner walked in and was about to walk away from several of us waiting until i was like "wait a minute." Many around me didn't even put an order in yet because the one employee was just trying to catch up. I know it may not be ideal as a business to have 2 on the clock, so maybe have a floater between the ice cream shop side and Melt'd so they can get some assistance when the ice cream side is calm. Anything is better than what I saw. You lost some peoples business, they were walking in and back out because they lost hope to be served the delicious food you offer. If I didn't already pay in advance- I would of walked out today too! Love the food, cool business, and the people are good, but they need one more pair of hands and a space that supports asking for someone to tag in. The other customers who saw what i did agree you need one person making food and one at the register. All that said - IM COMING BACK! I still think this place is wonderful, but I won't come for lunch during the week days until staffing is...
Read moreAbsolutely love their sandwiches!! I meant to post about them the second time I had gone there, but I always end up focusing on eating and forgetting to review. I've only ever gotten the Hawaiian Pua'a, and it's not because the other sandwiches aren't good, it's because they honestly have the best version of this type of sandwich around here. Their's has become my favorite, however, my friend had the Cuban and according to him it was really, REALLY good. But I do not have a picture of that one because he ate into before I could get a picture. Then my father has had the philly and I know he absolutely loves philly's, and according to him it was quite delicious. My brother has also had one of their sandwiches, he had the 3 sisters and he said it was the ultimate grilled cheese sandwich. Next time I go, I will try to restrain myself from getting my favorite and explore the other options. Outside of this, the service has always been efficient and nice, the atmosphere is very laid back and relaxed, and they have a decent variety of sodas/pop, chips and other sides that you can buy along with your sandwich. Also, I personally love how it's connected to the ice cream shop next to it, they had become our go to anytime we are at Sim's park: sandwich and pop, and then some ice cream to snack...
Read moreThe two staff members had no clue what the ingredients were in the foods they were preparing. One of them, oblivious to the ingredients in the oil they used, basically told me that butter was all over their press. It was oil-based, not dairy-based. Thankfully the other staff member cared enough to look at the ingredients. That is dangerous for patrons that have allergies or intolerances. I would not eat here again based on the flippant responses from the worker and the lack of care when requesting my food be made dairy-free. The guy making the sandwiches definitely didn't seem to care about poisoning me. That's pretty backward from how service is supposed to be. The amount of oil they use on the press deep-fried my sandwich. It wasn't terrible, but definitely made me queasy and gave me indigestion from all of the oil. I only ate half of it and threw the other half away because I was worried it would make me sick. I ordered roast beef, pickle, and mustard on sourdough. Skip this place. There are better, less...
