I've given this place a few tries but each time felt disappointed with the experience. Around 5:30 this evening my daughter and I came in through the Italian ice side. The young girl working said hello but continued to clean the glass for a full 5 minutes while we waited until I went over there asking if we could be serviced. Considering we were the only customers she should have been more attentive, but she acted like we completely inconvenienced her. She put her rag down but didn't wash her hands or put gloves on. Turning a blind eye my daughter asked for a coconut cream sample but was given cookie batter instead, when I pointed out that it wasn't the right flavor she insisted that she was correct and denied my daughter's request for the sample she originally asked for. (We were still the only people in there.) So we placed our order for two small canoli Italian ices. The worker had such great difficulty obtaining a scoop that I politely questioned the freshness. She huffed with annoyance but couldn't tell me when it was made. Upon inspection you could see it was freezer burned. She barely managed to scoop two Tablespoons, but handed my daughter the cup anyway. I smiled and asked if that was it, thinking maybe she was offering that for our patience while she retrieved a new batch. Sadly I was wrong, instead she asked where I was paying. This wasn't our first time here but will be our last. The employee never smiled at us or offered any type of service that made us feel welcome and valued. You would think with the amount of time she has on her hands she would be knowledgeable of the products offered and actually enjoy sharing in what should be a delightful experience of helping customers find their favorite treates. Update: My husband has gone in 3 times to get his money back but the owner is always not there (even when he told my husband he would be). I will NOT take down my review until you act like a responsible business owner and either BE at your own business when you say you are going to be there and refund my husband his money, or stop being childish and telling me I'm being vindictive. YOU didn't have to stay up with my husband all night as he was being sick, vomiting , etc. I am NOT going to sink to your level and call you names. I just want you to actually do what you said you were going to do.Also, It was POSTED on your food list how much it cost. If you changed it since then that's on you. Teach your staff to use your register and actually take care of your business.....Thank you.....I wish I could give them 0 stars. We will NEVER be back here. Read moreWas there last night and extremely disappointed! We walked in at 8:50 pm and you would think we came in at 10 minutes after closing instead of 10 minutes before closing. One of the women I was with told the server she was so excited to be there and the girl just glared at her. After each order she filled she threw the metal scoop into a bucket loudly making all 5 of us jump. This is ice cream, it’s a happy place! The flavors are incredible, but the service needs improvement! The other young person never even acknowledged us. If they were in that much of a rush to get us out they could have worked together. I am in retail. We close at 6. My boss’s philosophy is we stay happily until the last person leaves and we answer the phones until 10 past every day! Don’t let the door hit you on the way out. Hard to spend money at an establishment that doesn’t seem to want my business. By the way, we took our ice cream to eat outside because they obviously didn’t want us in there. It was 58 degrees...
