1st Avenue Gourmet & Deli — Restaurant in New York

I have ordered delivery from here twice. Both times they sent me a sandwich I DID NOT order. I ask for wheat bread, they give me white that I can't eat. They don't call or anything like most restaurants and Delis do if they don't have what you ordered. I gave them a second chance and the second time was even worse. If I order a chicken salad wrap, why do you send me a chicken Caesar wrap I cannot eat due to dietary restrictions? This place just doesn't care. The reviews I see on here make no sense. I guess when you are there in-person, they have a harder time screwing you over. It tastes like they don't wash their shredded lettuce. Smells like cigarette ashes/dirty. They didn't put ketchup on a burger or send packets for me to put on,...nothing. Why give the option if you don't do it? No more from this ridiculous place. BE WARY of online orders. Ordered off of Uber Eats. There's an option to request utensils and to add a note. Clicked on utensils as we were at a hotel and asked them to provide ketchup for the egg sandwich and hash browns (which aren't what is pictured on the app, which shows shredded potatoes, these were like the ones you'd get from McDonald's). When I wrote a review stating I was highly disappointed because we needed utensils and ketchup, only to receive a reply they don't provide that. Won't be ordering...

Highly recommended place. The card machine totaled me at $2.85 for a $2.45 product and the cashier told me to wait as he manually entered the right price even after I consistently insisted that I'll just pay the extra 40 cents as tips for their service. Extremely professional and kind service. Plus, the food is good.
