The place itself is cute. The decoration is nice. Unfortunately I haven't had good experiences here. I really tried to give it a chance, and I would come back to see if maybe the service improved, but it did not. One time I reserved the place, I had a big group coming. I called them in advance, and even came in person the day before to make sure everything was going to be as planned. It was a work meeting. The owner said he would be there at certain time, and came 1 hour later. He had promised he would have a full breakfast menu available for us, and after having shown up 1 hour late, he said he was sorry and he only had literally "couple of pastries" to offer (we were more than 10 people, this was pre-COVID). We had limited time, couldn't have the meeting, had to leave. The owner apologized and offered me to come back and to bring whoever I wanted and everything was going to be on him. I came back, couple of weeks later. Besides not having the appetizers they offered on the menu, he did not pay for anything... I came back several times after that, with friends who also live around and wanted to try the place, and again the service was not great. I went again today, asked for a table for two, but he didn't even let me finish, and said, "everything is reserved" Probably true, but he could definitely have been kinder. I should have written this before, I will not come back...

Stella and Fly is a real gem in Upper East Side. They've a great selection of wine and beer and the best grilled cheese sandwich this side of Mars. It's such a relief these days to walk into a space and not be bombarded by multiple tv screens. Stella and Fly is the kind of place where you can go and do a bit of work during the day, or catch up with an old friend and make new friends in the evening. They have a great selection of live music Wednesday through Sunday as well as comedy and trivia nights. In addition to the cozy beautifully lit upstairs room, they have a gorgeous little cellar room downstairs, which is an ideal place to catch a concert or unwind for a few hours. Nigel and all the staff seem to know everyone by name and make everyone who walks through the door feel right at home. It is one of those entirely necessary New York spaces where it seems time can slow down and we can catch up with ourselves. Highly...

Stand-Up, Slang & Stellar Vibes at Stella & Fly 🎤🔥

This was my second time attending a comedy show — and Stella & Fly absolutely nailed it. The night was fun, engaging, and effortlessly entertaining. Every comedian brought something special to the stage, and I genuinely enjoyed them all.

The vibe? Incredible. One of my favorite parts was the spontaneous interaction with the audience — lighthearted but super clever, making the whole experience feel personal and alive.

The service was top-notch, and the space itself had a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. What really stood out? The way the comedians used Gen Z slang — and actually explained it! I felt like I was learning, laughing, and lowkey upgrading my vocabulary at the same time. 😂✨

If you’re new to stand-up or just want a true NYC cultural experience, this is the place. I left with a smile, a few new words, and a great memory....

Once upon a time, this was my favorite coffee spot. The lattes were delicious and creamy and made with love. As you can guess, this love story ends in heartbreak. I don’t know what happened, I can only assume the baristas one day forgot how to use the espresso machine? The pictures below are the most disgusting representation of their take on an iced vanilla latte. I’ve gone in and received 12oz of Oatmilk and a FULL SHOT of vanilla syrup for $8. Please take a look at the photos, how do you seriously pass that off as a latte? This is just one example, the service has been consistently this bad over the past six months or so. I hate leaving a bad review, but am hopeful that the new ownership will provide some training :)
